How come when i use a round brush.....?

Ok, like many ppl have told me using a round brush and a hair dryer will make wonders for my hair, but I tried it and its not true!!

How do you use it, am I using it wrong cause I am not getting the desired look, besides when I get it done in the salon, it comes out bouncy and with volume but when I do it at home it comes out limp..

Another thing, do you an attachment for the hair dryer, not a diffuser...I forgot what its called but do I need it to use it with a round brush?!?! Help, I rly wanna learn how to use the round brush...

Also, do you need a good brand of a round brush..

Cause I have one but its by Scrunci or w/e you call it.

They sell them at Wal-Mart...

HELP!!!!!

How come when i use a round brush.....?

it takes practice, but here's the best way i can explain it.

make sure to get the brush as close to your scalp as possible. pull the hair slightly in the opposite direction that it falls [so "up"]. this will give your roots a little boost and give you more volume.

make sure you hold your hair tight as you bring the brush down the shaft. work in small sections. it helps to pull your hair up and out of the way as you work on each layer.

hope that helps a bit!

You first need to spray a protectant and styling product, I use ALTERNA and I have fine hair that doesnt like to do anything I want! I use alterna know and it really does work. You will have to go to a proffessional salon to get it. Spray it in your hair while its wet and blowdry... You will love it.

Get your hair mostly dry first(about 80%) then style with the brush. The other answers are very good(follow what they say). Oh, the attachment is called a concentrator, it is good to have but it is not absolutely necessary.

Maybe of the haircut? You prolly need to update ur cut.

Advice for hair breakage after home perm?

Ok, so my mom's friend does hair as in cutting and perming. She's not professional and doesn't work in a salon but I trusted her with my hair because my sister got her hair permed and her hair came out perfectly curly with no problems at all. I would usually always get my hair braided and then take it out for that "naturally culry" look but got tired of doing that so soon after decided to get a perm.

After I got it done, my hair was really poofy, frizzy, and dry. My hair was usually like that even before my perm (I just thought my hair being poofy and curly looked better than my hair being poofy and straight). So then, I really didn't think much of it. But I then noticed I could barely even brush my hair! And from time to time, if you just grab the bottom of my hair very very lightly and run your hand down, a handful of hair would come out!

Any advice on stopping hair breakage for permed, frizzy, brittle hair?

Advice for hair breakage after home perm?

The breakage starts from brushing too much, keeping your hair up in elastics, etc.

Make sure you keep your hair very well conditioned and use products that are made for permed, brittle and breaking hair.

Lastly, one of the best hair serums for frizz is either Biolage or John Frieda .. you only use a little and smooth it on when your hair is wet. Sometimes along with a little gel, you can let it just air dry and get a great set of curls

Advice for hair breakage after home perm?

they probably have shampoo for that!?!?

Advice for hair breakage after home perm?

Well this has happened to me and I had to get my hair cut to get rid of alot of the perm. Otherwise you might want to try specialty shampoos and de frizz serums Good luck!

Maybe...

Help, l just brushed my hair and a hair fell out, am I going Bald?

Calm down. Maybe you just brushed your hair too hard that a strand fell out.

Well, hair loss is normal anyway, and no, it would take more than just a STRAND to get bald so relax. ^_^

Just in case your situation persist, consult a doctor. Or maybe buy another type of shampoo that lessens hair fall.

No badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea. Massage well and shampoo.Rub oil into the scalp. Wring out a towel in hot water and wrap it on the head. Keep it on for 15 minutes. Shampoo and dry well. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

Is brushing your hair and using pomade all you need to get waves???

well... since your black it should be easy but if what your already doing doesn't work follow my steps

1.wash your hair out

2.put wave grease or Vaseline or pomade

3.brush hair in pattern for 10 minutes in the front, back and sides.

4.put on a du rag and wear it for 30 minutes or overnight

5.repeat process till you get desired waves trust me dog i have sexy 360 waves and in Jamaica it's not to common to have waves like that so I'm good with the ladies

Is brushing your hair and using pomade all you need to get waves???

yes that will do!

Is brushing your hair and using pomade all you need to get waves???

yes:)

Is brushing your hair and using pomade all you need to get waves???

Also using a curling iron with a protective curling spray.

Is brushing your hair and using pomade all you need to get waves???

Yes, pretty much. We as African Americans already have a wave pattern in our hair so basically you are just rearranging the curl/wave pattern. It also helps to use a du-rag ..I'm sure you know what that means... to help train the pattern as well. after a while you won't need that at all. Hope I answered ya.

You should wear a durag or a wave cap also.

Does brushing your hair too much ruin it?

Yes it is possible. It can cause spilt ends which blocks your hair from growing which makes your hair shorter as you grow taller.

Remeber brushing it is better than combing it though. Have you ever noticed when you comb your hair its lots of hair in the comb. Well that means your combing your hair out.

I advice you not to comb or bruch unless you really need to but it depends no the type of hair.

Does brushing your hair too much ruin it?

some times it could because too much friction in your hair could cause damage and loss. one thing u can never do to ur hair is comb it when it is wet because you have just washed away ur natural oils and it is bare so whn you comb it is very likely that alot of hair will break off or becomes loose.

Does brushing your hair too much ruin it?

Nahhhh.. i unless you brush it like aver 10 ,15, 20

minutes...i will get like dryed out!! its freaky..

Hope i helped!

Does brushing your hair too much ruin it?

Ahh No........Just look at Marcia Brady's hair. Just kinding but seriously, brushing keeps the hair from being tangled, remember to brush your scalp. This will help the hair grow and stay healthy.

Does brushing your hair too much ruin it?

As long as you are not rough no, it spreads the oils to make hair shinier, its a good thing.

Does brushing your hair too much ruin it?

Yes, brushing stretches the hair causing it to snap and break off.

Does brushing your hair too much ruin it?

yes, but if you use a natural boar bristle brush then it helps spread the natural oils in your hair, which also results in awesome/healthier hair!!! :)

Does brushing your hair too much ruin it?

Yeah. D=

My hair is everything?

i love my hair and all my friends think im weird because i brush my hair non stop and spay with hair spay evryday

My hair is everything?

A lot of hairspray is not good for your hair. You're actually damaging it.

閳?br>My hair is everything?

you are weird, find a hobby

My hair is everything?

You don't love your enough to spray it with harsh chemicals like hairspray contains.

Unless you use Organic, natural, alcohol free hairspray.

Brushing your hair non-stop is also very bad for your hair.

My hair is everything?

I think it's OK to like your hair %26amp; to take care of it, but it's just hair.

Note....hair spray is bad for you hair especially everyday.

My hair is everything?

If you really love your hair, quit brushing it all the time and spraying it with hair spray! You'll just ruin your hair. What you're doing to it is very bad for your hair.

My hair is everything?

its not something to be ashamed of. tell your friends that everyone has a fetish and this could be yours.

My hair is everything?

u r too obssessed with your hair. i think its cool that you take care of it and everything but u r going overboard. besides if you brush it nonstop u are more likely to have hairloss when you are older

My hair is everything?

true. brushing your hair too much causes breakage and might cause split ends. also it might irritate the scalp making it oily.

My hair is everything?

I think it is great that you take care of yourself this way. Brushing your hair a lot makes it shiny and probably feels good to your scalp. I would hope that you aren't brushing it in restaurants or other highly public places.

My hair is everything?

good for you!!! keep taking great care of your hair!! it is the first thing most people notice about a person

My hair is everything?

I like my hair, too. I brush from the roots to the end. Some people even like to touch or caress my hair. Believe Me. Sometimes I have a hard time brushing my hair with all the tangles in it. I'm lucky to have a gentle brush. I brush my hair in the way its parted on one side after I wake up. It's easier to style your hair when it looks a certain way in the morning.

My hair is everything?

OMG U SOUND LIKE ME!..im obsessed with my hair!! which isnt really a good thing because im damaging it with all the products and dye!..but i just feel like with the right cut and hair colour it can make a person SOOOO MUCH MORE ATTRACTIVE!...LOL.

Oily hair please help?

hi,

since the last 2 months my hair is all of a sudden become very very oily and face skin too. the rest of the body is fine.I shampoo daily once in the morning and once before sleeping and the next day morning it is again oily. Please help and give me home remidies to get rid of oily hair. I dont brush my hair very often either.

Oily hair please help?

Try TeaTree shampoo, followed by teatree conditionor

Oily hair please help?

ok hun you should only be washing your hair once every other day the reason your hair is getting oily is because you are basically drying you scalp and your scalp is producing more oil to keep it moist if you will also your face should only be washed once a day at night and just splash some warm water on it in the morning. but you can try to use a shampoo that is specifically designed for oily hair

Oily hair please help?

You might be washing your hair too much. If your shampoo is drying out your scalp, it will naturally produce oil to counter balance the drying effect of the shampoo. Sometimes it can help to change your shampoo for a little while. In the mean time sprinkle some baby powder on your hair and then shake it out real good to get rid of the white. The powder will help absorb the oil.
