Why does my hair do this?

okay, whenever i brush my hair, it seems like in five min, i have to brush it again!!! like even if i'm inside, it gets all tangly! i use garnier fructis shampoo/conditioner i really like it, it make my hair shiny, but no matter what shampoo/conditioner i use, my hair gets so tangly!!! please help!

are leave in conditioners work? or does it cause a lot of buildup?

Why does my hair do this?

I have extremely curly hair and very long, i rarely "brush" it. Brushes are bad for your hair. Try a wide tooth comb instead. Brushing your hair so often isn't really all that necessary and can lead to breakage. *"Brushing: the old notion that 100 brush strokes a day produces beautiful hair is false. Too much brushing may injure the hair, especially with brushes that pull the hair or scratch the scalp. Detangle the hair and then leave it be." -(See enclosed website). I wouldn't worry about it so much. When I have my hair staight, I only brush twice a day- morning and night. Hope you find this helpful!

Why does my hair do this?

That's why they have something that calls hair spay.

Why does my hair do this?

Use conditioner only once in two washes.

After washing hair, tie it up in a knot using a good absorbing towel. Hair should not be dripping wet.

Now tie hair up in a knot using clip. Get a small layer of hair near the neck loose with all other hair tied up. dry this part of hair alone, and style it as needed. Then loosen another layer of hair a bit higher. work ur way up till you hair is set. This helps in hair not getting tangled often. Good luck.

Why does my hair do this?

It sounds like you have fine hair, possibly color-treated. The best way to keep it from looking stringy is to keep it trimmed and use a light weight leave in conditioning spray. Pravana intensive hydrating treatment is excellent and is sold in salons or you can find it online. Good luck!

Why does my hair do this?

you should consider changing the shampoo and the conditioner that you are now using and try panteen, any panteen product, but make sure that the panteen has a cream that comes with it. meaning that it comes with shampoo and conditioner and hair cream that keeps you hair moist and untangled and when you use it make sure you blow dry your hair and comb through your hair with a comb. brushing it is only making it worse. start combing it.

Why does my hair do this?

use Sebastian shampoo and conditioner it is really good- it will fix your problem

Why does my hair do this?

My sisters a hair dresser and she says Garnier Fructis is the worst

product she's ever come across for leaving a build up and consequently leaving your hair a mess.

Try the neutrogena range - they smell lovely and rinse away without residue, and leaves hair squeeky clean and shiny :)

Why does my hair do this?

when you condition your hair its always best to leave it on for a few minutes with a plastic cap so your hair can absorb it, it's also a good idea to keep your ends trimmed to avoid breakage at the ends, and every so often it's a good idea to change you hair products...your hair may get used to the garnier and needs something else to help it stay untangled

Hair Problems?!?

Alright, I use normal hair elastics and have fairly thick hair. But when I pull my hair back into a ponytail (even using a brush) my hair gets all lumpy and looks weird. I've tried using headbands to cover them up, but it doesn't help and I do not pull it back tight and don't use tight elastics. Any ideas what's wrong and how to prevent this?

Hair Problems?!?

Try to use a paddle brush when your done with your normal brush. Then, put in ponytail. Slide back with some straightening spritz.

Hair Problems?!?

i had the same thing happen to me.

everytime i put my hair back i completly brush it, really well with my head tilted back. Make sure its completly brushed really well then put it up.

dont brush it back, brush it before hand

Hair Problems?!?

you could straighten your hair first. I do this i brush it out put my hair up use a Boris bristle brush to smooth the top out the use some hair spray it work for me hope it helps you out.

HELP!!! I bleached my hair and now have breakage!!?

so I dyed my hair black a month ago and i dont like it so tonight I went and bought bleach and I bleached my hair but yesterday I tried to dye it a brown color and all it did is dye my roots brown and my hair is still dark so tonight when I bleached my hair it came out blonde roots and orangish red hair with black underneath because I left the black out underneath cuz I was trying to go for the platinum on top look well I called sallys where I bought the stuff from and she said that it would be ok to dye it again and that it wouldn't harm my hair but just not to bleach my roots again so I bleached my hair twice in one night and now my roots are brighter blonde and the rest of its looks like I have bright red highlights over it and the underneath is black, its soo horrible looking! and when I brushed my hair I had some breakage and I am freaking out cuz I don't want to lose myhair I really want to go to the store tonight and bye brown hair dye and color over it again HELP! what can I do

HELP!!! I bleached my hair and now have breakage!!?

TRY BIOLAGE CONDITIONING BALM BY MATRIX!!!!

i started using it about two months ago and i really notice a difference, my hair doesnt stretch as much from the bleach damage and my hair is alot softer. Also maybe try cutting like an inch off your hair where the hair is brittle and dry so it will make your hair more heatlhy. Hope you try it and it works! Goodluck!

HELP!!! I bleached my hair and now have breakage!!?

stop worrying about ur hair, in one year it won't matter at all, just wear some sort of cap or whatever girls wear lol but yea

HELP!!! I bleached my hair and now have breakage!!?

Stop dyeing your hair already. It's breaking because it's damaged from all the coloring and bleaching. Would you prefer patchy and unique coloring, or would you prefer patchy, thin hair?

Get some hair treatments (like VO5 hot oil, etc.) instead to moisturize your hair.

Also, if you still want coloring in future (I'm talking like 8 months later), do consider saving up the money and visiting a salon.

HELP!!! I bleached my hair and now have breakage!!?

HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE.

YOU'LL JUST HAVE TO GROW YOUR HAIR BACK OUT.

honest truth - i'm just saving u money.

HELP!!! I bleached my hair and now have breakage!!?

obviously you have a problem. maybe you should lay off coloring your own hair, and leave it to a professional from now on. for now tho, i would wear a wig. or a hat. or a scarf to cover it up until i could get my tail to the salon. hope this taught you a lesson.

HELP!!! I bleached my hair and now have breakage!!?

Go and put a conditioner/treatment in your hair asap.. you need to regain some form of strength and nourishment before attacking it again... i would get an inch cut off the bottom to keep it healthy or you're just going to keep killing your hair. Brown would be the best option as it will help your hair regain some health..

If you really want to go blonde DO NOT BLEACH IT AGAIN..

Go to a salon and spend the extra money.

HELP!!! I bleached my hair and now have breakage!!?

if you put butter and manais for 6 hours over night the next morning it will your natural hair color i do that to so do that and ur hair will go to ur natural hair again then u can die it again and it wont harm ur hair

HELP!!! I bleached my hair and now have breakage!!?

Ok STOP DYING YOUR HAIR would be the first step. I guess the money consuming way would be to go to a professional and have her/him color your hair, or, just wait for it to grow out. In the meantime, just try to keep your hair moisturized and maybe get some shampoo/conditioner for your breakages.

HELP!!! I bleached my hair and now have breakage!!?

Get a deep conditioning treatment at walmart or anywhere and leave it on...for like 30 minutes.

Do that once a day for a week.

It should help. Dont contnuosly bleach your hair, it will fall out lol. I think you know this now.

HELP!!! I bleached my hair and now have breakage!!?

Bleaching your hair completely strips it, I strongly recommend not bleaching it anymore, at least til it's grown out more. You can put in color now to try to even it out, but use something without ammonia (there are some good temp. and perm. ones available at health food stores) and then just let it be. Try not to wash it very often, and get a really good deep conditioner to try to get moisture back into it. If you can, just give it a break for a few days before you add the color. Also, if you can, go see a hair professional for advice and/or have them color it. If you need to do it yourself, just do it once and use the ammonia-free stuff. Over the next few weeks, keep your hair trimmed and keep it moisturized. good luck, and steer clear of the bleach for a while!

HELP!!! I bleached my hair and now have breakage!!?

stop doing your hair yourself, save that money to see a real hairstylist.Usually a hair that breaks off is a sign that your hair is over processed and no longer suitable for any chemical services. It is usually not recommended to color your hair black unless you plan to keep that color for a quite a time to come.Good luck to you and remember that hair only grows generally 0.5 inch a month and it will take a while to get it back if it breaks off

HELP!!! I bleached my hair and now have breakage!!?

wow

how do i begin to try to help you

ok

fact...you can no longer bleach your roots.. your hair will fall out.. period

the problem is.. now that you have bleached it so much.. you may even have a problem for a color to stay on your hair

but you have that awful red hair..

the only thing that will get that is to bleach it out some more

but you can not touch the roots

when you are done bleaching it.. you can put a toner on the whole hair.. but not as it is now

be patient..

if you put color on your whole head the roots will probably not take and you will still have to bleach out the new color you have applied

black haircolor is the hardest color to get out of your hair because it not only colors your hair but it also stains it

so it would be wise to keep that dark

if you can't color the middle part of your hair.. than go to a stylist and have them do it.. it will probably cost you less in the long run.. and then you can do it yourself when you redo the roots

if you need more help.. just contact me

good luck

I'm 14 years old and losing hair..?

Recently, I've been noticing some hair loss. I have long hair, used to straighten it every single weekday until I started homeshchooling.. i had no problem.. until RECENTLY so i doubt its from straightening. i mostly notice it when i brush the back of my hair.. a lot of hair comes out on a brush. my hair is tangled back there, could that be a problem? and when i just dig my hands in my hair, sometimes i see hair.

i know people lose 100 hairs a day but i've never seen it noticable.it's not like a WHOle side falling out, or else i'd be typing from a hospital.. (or maybe i should)but some hair i see.

also yesterday in the shower. i was thinking and just staring lankly and i can see part of my arm when i saw a small circle of hair fall on my shoulder. gross.. here are some pictures of my scalp.my family has no history of hair loss. my dad is almost bald but he likes to cut his hair short.

I'm 14 years old and losing hair..?

Have thyroid checked. Excessive hair loss can be indication of thyroid imbalance. It is easily correctable with medication.

I'm 14 years old and losing hair..?

get volumizing shampoo and conditioner andstop straightening it you dingdong

I'm 14 years old and losing hair..?

okay dude , stop cutting ur hair !!

I'm 14 years old and losing hair..?

It could be genetic, or you are consuming way too much Vitamin A, or you are under a LOT of stress.

Consult your family doctor for testing.

I'm 14 years old and losing hair..?

dont use a crud load of hair products or bleach or dye.

I'm 14 years old and losing hair..?

ask the doctors

I'm 14 years old and losing hair..?

I would go to a dermatologist just to make sure everything's ok. It could be from a vitamin deficiency or a skin condition.

I'm 14 years old and losing hair..?

The longer one hair is, the more noticeable one sees their hair falling, i have the same thing when i have long hair, so don't sweat it

I'm 14 years old and losing hair..?

uh....it looks normal. but to lose hair like that, something must be wrong.... you don't have an eating disorder at all, do you?

I'm 14 years old and losing hair..?

dont worry the same thing happens to me i even asked a question about it....its not a big deal kids are supposed to loose hair..

I'm 14 years old and losing hair..?

It looks fine to me. maybe your just paranoid lol

I'm 14 years old and losing hair..?

You dont look bald to me.

I'm 14 years old and losing hair..?

You should get off that crack!!!

I'm 14 years old and losing hair..?

Hmm, I lose a lot of hair too, but its mainly from getting it bleached and dyed and all that jazz.

Avoid brushing the tangles, I try to get as much of it untangled with my fingers.

Use a conditioner and leave a tiny bit in and COMB it out.

It creates less breakage.

Also I know wearing hats a lot can cause balding, but I'm not sure if you wear hats. :/ Safe to let ya know anyways!

It could also be from not eating healthy.

Hope everything works well for you!

I'm 14 years old and losing hair..?

you might jsut be noticing it more. but by the looks of your pictures you need to brush your hair more...the less you brush it the more things can grow in there and that might be eating away at your hair...i bursh my hair about three to four times a day! i have times where it seems like i am shedding like a dog would...it is fine though...if it stops after awhile than that is what it is...don't worry if the shedding comes back...my hairdresser even says that it is perfectly normal...but seriously...if you brush your hair more you probably won't have as much hair loss...

I'm 14 years old and losing hair..?

Its nothing, you're not ill, if you think you have cancer or something hair loss is only for radiation. Its from all the damage in your hair, from straighting it, to hair products, if you coloured it that is it, and your shampoo, the alcohol in it causes this, get to a salon and get shampoo without alcohol, I think baby shampoo has no alcohol in it as well... let me warn you the shampoo and conditioner and the salon isn't the 6 dollar bottle you buy, it can be 18$ a bottle. It can also be genetic, that you're losing hair so early.

I'm 14 years old and losing hair..?

Lucky!!! I want to be bald so bad! lol

I'm 14 years old and losing hair..?

dont wash your hair so much and use a comb when u brush ur hair i used a brush my hair all the time and my mom who is a fashion expert told me to brush my hair with a comb to get the knots out then use a brush and blow dry ur hair and use detangelr befor u comb or brush ur good luck

I'm 14 years old and losing hair..?

You may want to have your parents take you to a doctor there is a disease I'm not quite sure on the name but I think the disease is called Alapechia I may be totally off. But anyway with this disease you will start losing your hair ALL OF IT. Eye brows, eye lashes, leg hair, everything! I'm not trying to scare you you probably just....I have no clue that's really the only thing I can think of. Hopefully someone else can help you more I'm sure it's nothing!

Good luck

Sorry but I don't even know how to spell the word at all. Just type in hair loss on the computer something will come up and you can look and see if you have any of the symptoms.

I'm 14 years old and losing hair..?

Well it could be a disorder. My sister went through this. Its called allopecia {spelling?} It grew back for her. It seemed puberty was the culprit. Tell your parents and check with your doctor. Don't freak out though. Our bodies do all kinds of weird stuff.

I'm 14 years old and losing hair..?

YOUR SHEDDING

I'm 14 years old and losing hair..?

Joseph, don't fret what you have is called alpaca areata

it allways grows back, it will stay bald in that spotfor awhile

then it allways grows back, when it does grow back it will first grow a blonde fuzz then regular hair will grow in.there is no treatment to make it grow back faster,so don't waste any money on products, just be pachent.just be aware that it may happen in other spots, but remeber it grows back

I'm 14 years old and losing hair..?

Please do not brush wet hair, this causes damage, breakage, and split ends. Use a wide tooth comb, working from the ends up to top of head to de-tangle. Never pull or jerk tangles to get them out. Also, if possible, try using an organic shampoo and conditioner. Organic products will help strengthen your hair and bring back it's natural luster.

Good luck

Piper

I'm 14 years old and losing hair..?

shedding 50 to 100 hairs a day is considered normal. When you lose a hair, it閳ユ獨 replaced by a new one growing in the same spot just below the surface of your scalp. Blondes may appear to lose more because they typically have more hair follicles than brunettes or redheads. Not more fun, just more hair!

Hair is most vulnerable when it閳ユ獨 wet so go easy with your towel, comb, and brush. When you閳ユ獧e wearing a ponytail, don閳ユ獩 pull your hair too tightly and alternate ponytails with looser hairstyles. The constant pull causes some hair loss, especially along the sides of the scalp.

Hair issue?

you need a good trim and put plenty of condtionor in your hair when u wash it and buy some hair serum

Hair issue?

Iff you straghten your hair, your best to use Heat Preotection Spray.

Don't wash your hair everyday because that makes it a lot worse and washes all your hair's natural oils out.

Try and avoid using hair spray as it will destroy and dry out your hair so iff you do as above, your hair should be in much better condition.

=)

Hair issue?

Sounds like you're in dire need of protein! do you bleach your hair??

Try using products from Redken's extreme range or Joico's K-pak, they are designed to strengthen weak hair that snaps.

your hair is very dry and damaged at the mo! there are plenty of things you can get.....Wella perfect hair is a moose that contains pure keratin(which your hair is made of)and will make it strong and soft again. also you could use conditioning treatments and if your staying in leave them in overnight then shampoo out in the morning. you should also get a good spray on leave in conditioner and spray into wet hair and comb, its great for detangling! try Revlon 2phrase! hope this helps! oh, and always start combing from the ends first!

Female hair loss?

I'm 15. When i brush my hair lots of hair comes out and i find it round the house and stuff. This has been happening for the last two years or something so i went to see the doctor. At first he thought it was because i wan't getting enough protein so he put me on protien drinks. That didn't work so i took a blood test and i found out that i was annemic so i was put on iron stuff. So the iron was making my hair fall out less. Then i when on holiday (2 weeks) and stopped taking the iron, but my hair wassn't falling out at all! even though i was staightening and drying it a lot , but i was leaving it down more and eating three big meals a day (without vegatables though coz i don't like them). Then a week after i came home my hair starts to fall again!

What do you think could be causing it?

I thought the lack of iron was the problem but when i was on holiday i wasn't taking the iron and my hair stoped falling.

I don't normally get stressed so i don't think it could be that.

Female hair loss?

you might not realize it but stres isnt always noticable

go back to your doctor just in case

Do you lose hair when...?

Do you lose your hair when you brush your hands through you hair? like from time time to time, when it starts to get messy.

Do you lose hair when...?

yes, it is normal for your hair to fall of when brushing your hair. i experience this too when bathing, combing or when applying hair wax. just dun get too stressed up on this and you'll be fine, or the condition will worsen. i got stressed before about my hair falling and the condition did worsen. everybody drops hair everyday. give ur hair an occasional message in the bathtub or when u are free. it'll help strenghten ur hair root. try out a brand of conditioner that suits your hair too. TRUST ME! haha. i learn that in science classes too. check out that webbie below too.

Do you lose hair when...?

You loose hair constantly throughout the day. Just not a lot.

Do you lose hair when...?

you may lose any loose hair that has detached itself and not fallen completely out yet or you may be detaching some while doing it (not a lot). If you do run your hands through your hair a lot or twirl it frequently it can later cause some thinning.
