Pregnancy and Hair?

I'm 18 wks, and I've noticed that my hair has stopped shedding all together. There is not even a single hair on my brush. Is this normal?

Pregnancy and Hair?

Thats very normal your hair gets thicker. My hair just stopped growing. If i shave my legs i normally have to shave it every 2 days now it just stays away for a week!! Everything changes.

Pregnancy and Hair?

your hair actually gets the most healthiest when your pregnant . so its perfectly fine

Pregnancy and Hair?

If it's not normal, than it is normal. lol.

Pregnancy and Hair?

The vitamins probably have a lot to do with it.

Hair and nails never look better than during pregnancy usually.

Pregnancy and Hair?

normal. your body goes crazy when you're pregnant. i have oily hair normally, but when i'm pregnant, i only have to wash it once a week.

Pregnancy and Hair?

Well I don't know,I am only 6 wks and my hair feels normal, talk to your doctor about it!!!Good look!!!

Pregnancy and Hair?

yup, my hair has become thicker an healthier scince ive been pregnant. . .. so enjoy it while it lasts lol xxxx

Pregnancy and Hair?

well its obvious that since your pregnant your hair is becoming much more stronger then it ever has before.

For many reasons, if you are curently taking prenatel vitamins the you are going to have far more protein the you did when you werent pregnant and protein is what makes your hair and nails stronger.. not to mention you body is producing more hormones that will also have the same effect!.

Pregnancy and Hair?

Very normal and I think the best thing about pregnancy besides of course the baby! Usually with pregnancy you have surges of hormones which make your hair not fall out and very shiny and just plain great. But then after you have the baby around 6 months or so the hormones have passed and your hair begins the shedding process again. The only way I kept my luscious locks longer was nursing for 18 months and then after I stopped the hair began to fall out.

Just enjoy it while it lasts.

Pregnancy and Hair?

Yes, that is very normal but after you give birth watch out!! You will think all of your hair is going to fall out it sheds so much..

Pregnancy and Hair?

you should go to the doctor unless theres a doctor here that could tell you if its normal

Pregnancy and Hair?

Yes it is prety normal..but after both my pregnancies my hair started to fall out..big time...not enough to go bald but enough to notice the brush full every 2-3 days...it is because of all the hormones from pregnancy.

LOTS of my hair is falling out..I'm not forming patches yet..but I'm afraid I will and tur

Everytime I brush my hair..my hair like falls out like atleast 20 hairs..O.O...I have LOTS of hair..but still..and even more hair falls out when I wash it. Its terrible.

LOTS of my hair is falling out..I'm not forming patches yet..but I'm afraid I will and turn bald.?

typically you will shed about 100 hairs a day. Everyones hair has a natural cycle and when that cycle is over it will fall out and start it all over again. If you have a lot of hair you might loose more than most. If you can see strait through your hair to your scalp I would go see a doctor. there are many reasons why a person would loose their hair such has hormones, stress things like that but if you are under the age of lets say 45 I would say I wouldn't jump to that conclusion. I have seen it in young people but it is rare..

LOTS of my hair is falling out..I'm not forming patches yet..but I'm afraid I will and turn bald.?

dotn worrie i have the same proble hair every where all the time if you got a think head of hair its gonan fall out like tht your suppose to have at least 100 hairs or more fall out of your haed a day so its normal dotn worie about it unless your hair is falling out in big patched where u are bald your fine =] hope this helps you

LOTS of my hair is falling out..I'm not forming patches yet..but I'm afraid I will and turn bald.?

About 50 to 100 milligrams a day of vitamin B6 taken for one or two months helps decrease hair fall. A medicine rich in sulfur is also recommended as sulfur plays an important part in the structure of the hair. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

I keep losing my hair and i'm only 16?

Everytime I brush my hair I find more hair on my brush than usual. My hair tangles REALLY easily and is super thin. Why am i losing so much hair and is there a way to prevent my hair from tangling so much even though i use conditioner? what hair products could i use for my hair?

I keep losing my hair and i'm only 16?

I strongly suggest you rule out low thyroid with a blood test. One out of 6 females have this condition and it is easy to correct with synthroid. Other symptoms may be cold feet and hands and general fatigue or irregular periods. If your doctor prescribes it make sure not to use the generic as the dosage varies an average of 40%. I am a hairdresser and also have low thyroid production. Your hair will come back quickly if this is the cause. I recently heard that ingesting soy may make the synthroid dosage less potent. Good luck to you.

I keep losing my hair and i'm only 16?

maybe u are stressed. if your hair is thinning that bad, you might wanna see a specialist to perform a deep protein based conditioning.

I keep losing my hair and i'm only 16?

hmm...im no doctor...but do u tie ur hair up a lot?...if u do...u shouldn't...because ur pulling it out basically

I keep losing my hair and i'm only 16?

i think ur thinking very seriously, no problem, contact ur nearest parlor r ur personal doctor to avoid losing hair.. take good sugestions from them.

I keep losing my hair and i'm only 16?

You could be stressed.

Or hormones can somtimes effect that.

I would'nt be too concerned, but if you really

want ask your doctor... they will have the

right answers.

Good luck!

I keep losing my hair and i'm only 16?

I use SunSilk to keep my hair from tangling. Won't do much for the morning hair, I'm afraid, but for the rest of the day should keep it under control. Another suggestion, albeit a little extreme, but I dated a gal that did this in high school, so I mention it. Buzz it off and buy a nice wig.

I keep losing my hair and i'm only 16?

Comb your hair from the ends and work up to the scalp when your hair is wet. You could have a thyroid problem and it could be your diet also...especially if you diet or don't eat much. You can also try a leave-in spray conditioner (works much better on tangles)

I keep losing my hair and i'm only 16?

You lose hair naturally (nearly 100 each day) but it could be a good idea to use "repair" or reviving shampoo and conditioner especially if you are using a straight iron, hairspray, curling iron, or if you hair is dyed. one way to keep it rom tangling is to straighten it and brush it out a few times per day

I keep losing my hair and i'm only 16?

SEE A DOCTOR!

I keep losing my hair and i'm only 16?

You need to buy a detangler...you can buy all of these items at your local walmart....also using a conditioner will really help alot....I know all of this because of my wife....also...you may want to look into buying Nioxin....it makes your hair thicker at the root by stimulating the follicles....Good Luck Buddy...its not the end of the world....and I don't think you are losing your hair....just taking care of it the wrong way....

I keep losing my hair and i'm only 16?

Everyone loses around 100 hairs per day. Sometimes it seems like you're losing a lot, but it's normal. I wouldn't really worry about it falling out unless you notice that the hair on your head is dramatically thinner than before, or you see balding, etc.

For hair products, go to a salon and pick up some Redkin or Paul Mitchell. The shampoos and conditioners, like dove, garnier, etc all have waxes in them that make your hair look healthy, when really it's not. It's just coating it with wax to make it look healthy. Eventually, you get a build up of the wax and other chemicals, and it causes your hair to tangle.

Try a deep cleansing shampoo to make sure your hair is nice and clean with no product build up.

And remember, you don't need much shampoo and conditioner. Just about the size of a quarter. I actually use less.

There's some great volumizing products on the market that will help make your hair look fuller.

I keep losing my hair and i'm only 16?

umm two thing i can think of one to much stress in your life and that tends to happen with stress two bad diet not getting the right amount of vitamins in your system

I keep losing my hair and i'm only 16?

I use to loose my hair too. Actually it was last year when I was 16 as well. I told my mom and she bought me inexpensive vitamins from Trader Joes. Its called Women's Formula Multivitamin %26amp; Minerals Supports Nails, Hair and Skin. Usually girls tend to lose hair due to lack of vitamins. You're probably not having the sufficient amount us growing girls need. Also, just to let you know, there are studies about losing hair when you wash your hair too much.

hope it helps

I keep losing my hair and i'm only 16?

i have the same thing happening to me nd im 17 w/ the tangles u could use some leave in tangle spray it works good (i use the kid stuff) and w/ losing your hair (if u dont already do it) leave it down w/ nothing in just wear it natural 4 a few weeks and also my cousin told me its b/c of winter but iono bout that

I keep losing my hair and i'm only 16?

you could try a leave in once you get out of the shower which will make it easier to brush. If you dont have to brush your hair when you get out of the shower, try waiting to brush till it's dry. Hair is more fragile when it's wet. Your hair is fine like mine so a wide tooth comb will make it better to comb your hair and tangles out not to mention less breakage. Do you dye your hair. This can also cause your hair to fall out.

Weather patterns can also affect the amount of hair that falls out. Do you have reasonable belief that this could be hormonal or you are lacking in certain vitamins? You could go to the doctor and make sure it's nothing hormonal or certain deficiencys such as iron or vitamin b is causing it.

Hope I have helped good luck

I keep losing my hair and i'm only 16?

aww dont worry i have the same problem

go to your doctor, if it hasnt happened before it could be hormonal

I keep losing my hair and i'm only 16?

It is normal to lose 100+ hairs a day. As hormones change, so does your hair in various ways. I wouldn't worry about it unless you start losing big handfuls of hair at a time (like coming out in clumps) because that could be alopecia.

As far as the tangling goes, try not tp brush your hair more than you have to and when you do use a natural boar hair brush (gentler on your hair) and DEFINITELY do NOT EVER brush your hair when it is wet (if you MUST brush it use a widetooth comb and a TON of conditioner). Try detangling your hair with your fingers in the shower while you let your conditioner sit. You could also try a detangling leave in conditioner (I like Johnson's No More Tangles because it is super effective and cheap) with a wide toothed comb.

I keep losing my hair and i'm only 16?

If your hair is very long, it may 'look' like there is a lot breaking off, but you are really losing no more than if it is short. Its normal. Really. I lose lots of hair as mine is mid back length, bleached and very brittle. I use the Pantene, Anti Breakage shampoo and the matching conditioner. Its really good but a bit pricey. When you wash your hair, don't brush or comb when its wet. It will stretch and weaken your hair and make it go frizzy and tangled. Lightly run your fingers through to the ends and let the conditoner work for at least two minutes. Sometimes I put on conditoner and put a shower cap on for 15 minutes or so, to give it extra soaking time and then rinse. If you are using heated styling, always use a protect spray.

I keep losing my hair and i'm only 16?

Do you have long hair? If you do than its totally natural... When your hair is longer it usually needs to get rid of a lot more loose hair! Your hair also may be very thin or damaged, therefore it may brake more easily! there are a lot of great hair products out there, though not every good quality hair product is best for everyone, so try asking a hairdresser for professional advice on what would be best for your hair type!

I keep losing my hair and i'm only 16?

i was in that dilemna before and these tips might help you too. use lukewarm water when taking a shower and rinsing your hair. try using Mane n Tail Shampoo-horse to make your hair thick again and then Cream Silk conditioner (white). You can buy Cream Silk conditioner in an Asian or Filipino store. Use shampoo-conditioner today then only use conditioner tomorrow and so on and so forth. Don't use shampoo everyday because it will make your hair and scalp dry. Use BioSilk with your damp hair and try combing your hair with your fingers then blow-dry or style it. Don't comb your hair if it's wet because you will lose your hair's natural oil. You can change your shampoo after with Sunsilk w/ aloe in it. =)

I keep losing my hair and i'm only 16?

Your diet is deficient of the nutritional needs that promote the growth of healthy hair. I suggest you take a 1000meq capsule of Biotin every day. As well, if you wear your hair in a short style, it will tangle much less. It is also a good idea for you to include protien from some source in your diet, drinking milk will provide calcium as will green leafy veggies. Eggs are almost a perfect food, and I eat at least one egg daily. I also eat about 2 oz. of cheese almost every day, I take a 5000meq of Biotin every day, a multiple vitamin every day, and vitamins for skin and hair. Biotin also increases the elasticity of your connective tissue, and will contribute to better skin, especially your facial skin. It keeps you from forming wrinkles much later than you usually begin to get wrinkles. I use no conditioner on my hair. About 4 years ago, I was experiencing what I considered excessive hair loss, and consulted with a holistic health provider. I was given the list of supplements I am recommending to you, and in less than a month, the loss of my hair had decreased to less that half of what it had been. Now my hair is thick, and healthy, and has a lot stronger body to it. I simply shampoo my hairf twice a week with Pantene thick and full formula shampoo and it is now healthier that it had been for a protracted length of timel I wear it short and sort of spikey, and it is easy to manage. Mostly I just mess it up while its drying and when slightly damp, I apply a dime sized blob of bedhead; to , my hair and I use my fingers, to mess it up after I have combed it back with a course comb.

What should i do with my hair...?

i have really curly frizzy hair. i always keep it up and i have stupid flyaways cuz i cnt really do much with it. my sister hates it and it annoys me also. i hate straightning it everyday cuz im too busy and too lazy. i dont brush my hair in the morning becuase if i brush it then it gets frizzy! what should i do with my hair?!!

What should i do with my hair...?

well i totally understand how straightening is soooooo annoying. at LEAST 25 min every morn.

use a de-frizzing shampoo, garnier frutis sleek and shine, sunsilk de-frizz r my top recommendations

wash the night before, blowdry until it is damp, and brush it. and by the way, use a leave in conditioner, the one by the frutis sleek and shine (its a whole collection). so scrunch it into ur hair, brush it, and try to put it into braids (loose or tight). that will just keep it in place overnight, so it wont frizz up over night.

see if ur hair is managable the next morn, and if it is not, dampen it w/ a spray bottle and water, put more leave in conditioner (not more than a nickel size) and put it in a pony, or anything. bring a mini bottle of hair spray w/ u so u can de-frizz flyaways during the day.

and a tip to the leave in conditoner (rub it into ur hands and THEN scrunch in ur hair)

hope this helps!

What should i do with my hair...?

Mix antifrizz serum with a little toner and put in ur hair and u can comb and style in a suitable way.

What should i do with my hair...?

i have the SAME problem. i cut my hair so that it's above my shoulders, but still below my chin. it made it a lot easier and quicker to straighten (even with my cheap sale-rack straightener). but sometimes i still feel too lazy to straighten it or i just don't have the time. in situations like this, i hairspray it like mad and let it dry however it wants to. by the end of the day it's usually going all over the place, so i just wet it a little and pin back the front with some bobby pins. my crazy hair's never been good with those "poofs" that are so in style right now. but for something cute and different, i take 1-inch strips of hair, twist them, and pin them down on the top of my head. it's cute and i usually get a lot of compliments. hope this helped!

What should i do with my hair...?

if you have frizzy hair, but want curly hair, try this:

use Denise McAdams hair serum shampoo stuff, or Nicky Clarke. you have to wash your hair in warm water, not hot because heat activates certain hormones and your hair will be lifeless and limp.

dont brush your hair when it's dry; only when its wet, that will help to get proper curls. dont use a hair dryer cuz that will just dry your hair out and make it REAL frizzy!

hope this helps! phants x x x

Tremendous hair loss?

I am 29, F, moved from India to USA. I had thick long hair while in India and now all I have is a sorry fraction of what I did, three years back. I have got all hormone tests done, started using shampoos with no SLS, used various oils etc but my problems are not resolved.

My symptoms:

1. I have dry scaly dandruff, white in color with large flakes. Nothing seems to cure this.

2. I have hair loss- hair which just falls from the roots with no stimulus-i.e, no combing or brushing required, hair just falls. Hair loss is unbearable after I wash my hair.

3. I also started getting painful acne at age 27 when I hever had acne as a teenager.

What could be the cause? I have been to numerous dermatologists and no one has been able to determine the cause. It is not genetic as my parents and grandparents didnt have ny of these problems. I do not use any chemicals on my hair, do not use a blow drier or hair products. Is it the water in USA?

Your help is appreicated.

Thanks

Tremendous hair loss?

I have included a link to a condition called telogen effluvium, maybe it will help.

The derm doc I used to work for recommended that women with this condition increase their dietary protein and take B complex vitamins. It seemed to help quite a bit.

Tremendous hair loss?

Hi, i m from delhi, I had taken calcium pentonate tablet 100 mg twice for couple of months and now i have good hair growth and no hair fall. Try this and try putting warm olive oil. maybe yogurt with lil lemon jiuce on the head might get rid of white flakes. All the best, Meanwhile you can also refer to this....

What happened with my hair.?

One day i decided to use a blow dry on my hair and a straightening brush. My hair became unbelivabley straight and smooth and so managable. Then days pass, and i have to wash my hair, so then i do and my hair goes back to the normal way. Then when i get out the shower and blow dry and use the straightening brush my hair wont go back to the way before and it doesnt flatten like it did before.

What happened with my hair.?

did you possibly use some kind of product you didn't the first time? if you are on your period or close to being on it that can also affect the outcome of your hair. the weather also can affect it. if there is humidity in the air or rainy weather it can cause it not to be as straight or as smooth. a straightening iron can be very helpful. there are also several products on the market to help out with the straightening.

What happened with my hair.?

You did it differently. That's all. Probably also, maybe you damages your hair a bit from blowdrying.

What happened with my hair.?

It is probably the humidity. Low humidity means straighter hair. Think back on what the humidity was that day.

What happened with my hair.?

maybe you used a conditioner this time sometimes they have that effect

http://www.jurgita.com/articles-id134.ht...

I'm starting to lose hair?!?

While hair loss in men usually comes from 閳ユ笜atural causes,閳?hair loss in women can be caused by any number of factors, including. . .

Your diet, and whether or not you閳ユ獧e getting the nutrients your body needs to produce healthy hair.

Your lifestyle including whether you smoke and what kind of activities you regularly take part in . . .

How you treat your hair . . . whether you over-color or condition your hair, how badly you hit the hair dryer every day . . . and what kind of shampoo and other hair care products you use. In fact badly treating your hair is the single most-common cause of hair loss in women.

Hormone level and menopause . . . including how much estrogen your body is producing at any time . . . Many woman who go through menopause find themselves having to deal with 閳ユ窋emale Pattern Baldness閳?. . . as if they didn閳ユ獩 already have enough to worry about.

A genetic disposition to hair loss . . .

Pregnancy . . . which can cause hair loss or an over-abundance of hair as your body goes through hormonal changes and feeds your growing child.

Illness

And other causes.

Taking or has history of taking Birth control or anti-cancer medications...

And you have reasons to see your Dr and he/she could help to get you a full Exams n investigate your blood for any hormonal changes....

I hope this infors help...

Does brushing your hair really grow it out a little quicker?

I HAVE BANGS EYEBROW LENGTH %26amp; THEY NEED TO BE ABLE TO TUCK BEHIND MY EARS IN ABOUT A MONTH'S TIME. I KNOW THEY GROW 1/2" A MONTH, BUT IF I BRUSH THEM ALOT WILL THEY GROW FASTER?

Does brushing your hair really grow it out a little quicker?

brushing your hair too much can actually damage your hair. Contrary to popular belief brushing won't make it longer.

Does brushing your hair really grow it out a little quicker?

i dont think that it helps it grow out alot faster

Does brushing your hair really grow it out a little quicker?

No. there is no way to speed up hair growth. The brushing will stimulte the scalp and keep the hair healthy but if you need them that long in a short period of time, you'll have to get some extensions.

Does brushing your hair really grow it out a little quicker?

No, brushing your hair alot will only damage it.

Does brushing your hair really grow it out a little quicker?

am not sure but brushing is very healthy for the routs

Does brushing your hair really grow it out a little quicker?

No,It will cause brakege or split ends.Massage youe head, blood rushes to the head and that could cause it to grow faster, just dont over do it

Does brushing your hair really grow it out a little quicker?

Hasn't worked for me

Does brushing your hair really grow it out a little quicker?

no thaty is a myth. living a healthy life will help your hair grow. proper nutrition, vitamins, sleep

Does brushing your hair really grow it out a little quicker?

Brushing your hair eccessively will cause your ends to split, But brushing your bangs and then clipping them, (just a little) about once every two to three days will cause very good growth.

Does brushing your hair really grow it out a little quicker?

When you brush your hair, your stimulate the scalp and that brings more blood to your scalp. More blood nurishes the follicles more and it will make your hair grow a little quicker. Nioxin, a shampoo from a salon will drastically increase the rate at which your hair grows. It's pricey, but worth it.

Does brushing your hair really grow it out a little quicker?

No but you should do it anyways.

Does brushing your hair really grow it out a little quicker?

no, and if you brush it too much then you end up loosing more hair. hats aslo make you go bald.

Does brushing your hair really grow it out a little quicker?

sorry no i wish it would though!!

try putting your hair in a ponytial and putting the bangs in the ponytail

:)

Does brushing your hair really grow it out a little quicker?

Yes because when you brush your hair , you stimulate your scalp, causing your follicles, I think that's how you pronounce it , in your scalp to become attentive and triggers a growth spur, i would say

Does brushing your hair really grow it out a little quicker?

No brushing will only make your hair break. just give them time and they will grow out, they might be long enough maybe try a straighting iron on them.

Does brushing your hair really grow it out a little quicker?

I highly doubt it

Does brushing your hair really grow it out a little quicker?

Don't go overbrushing...hair grow's 1/4 a month, not half an inch. It stimulates the folicles and it's good for it, removes dead hair and oils too...so over brushing like 5 hours a day will do nothing.

Does brushing your hair really grow it out a little quicker?

yes it does it streches it

Does brushing your hair really grow it out a little quicker?

no, it has to grow out on it's own!

Does brushing your hair really grow it out a little quicker?

total myth!

Does your hair shed more in the winter?

I wear my hair natural, and this is new to me. I stopped relaxing my hair in Jan 2006 and decided to let it grow out from the short cut I wore, my hair is now down to my shoulders. During the winter weather I've been straightening it with a ceramic flat iron. I've noticed the shedding, could it be due to the winter weather or could it be that this flat iron is really not good for my natural hair? I also try to brush my hair 2-3 times a week, is this good for hair growth? Please any tips or product recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Does your hair shed more in the winter?

Your hair does the most shedding in the warmer months (it also tends to grow the fastest as well)...However, let me ask you this..How often are you using your ceramic iron on your hair? Although ceramic flat irons are considered better for your hair than the traditional ones, it is still heat being utilized...When you add dry air to the mix, what you seeing could also be breakage....Do you moisturize your ends daily? By that, I do not mean just putting oil moisturizer on your hair alone (it only coats the hair when it is not used with water)..It helps to spray your ends with water and follow up with an oil moisturizer nightly and dont forget to wrap your hair with a silk or satin bonnet...Also, depending on which website you go to, brushing your hair can also contribute to excessive hair shedding...Your hair is delicate and you are ripping your hair out by constanly brushing it...Are you doing that to help distribute oil to your ends? That wont help as much as you think...Here is website that may or may not help you...

Does your hair shed more in the winter?

I shed more in the winter, and the middle of summer. Guess its the weather.

Does your hair shed more in the winter?

not sure read some useful hair care tips and more on thsi site to help you

Does your hair shed more in the winter?

Your hair will shed more in the summer. All the heat makes your hair dry it falls out easier.

Does your hair shed more in the winter?

Yes, i dont know why though. Supposidly when you wash your hair and then rinse it, you should blast it with cold water so your pores close and it shines more. Also since you use to relax your hair, that can have something to do with it. Your flat iron doesnt have nothing to do with it. Just dont bursh your hair when your hair is wet because thats bad and you get split ends doing that. Prevent damage? I recommend Redken spray starch, you can get that at salons.. its the best! spray a little then comb it out and blow dry then straight. Faster and easier!

Dog hair is missing?

My dog is missing hair above both of her legs, and she looks pink (cause she dosnt have hair, well she has hair but less than other parts of her body), so i took her to the vet and they blood tested hair ans she came out perfect so the vets couldnt tell me anything :| why is she missing hair there?

and another question, its about my other dog in case u ask, when i take her to vet and they bath him his hair looks all like fuffy and idk how to explain it its like, all fluffy but when i bath him he doesnt look like that :| what can i do to make him "fuffy", i blow dry his hair and brush it but it doesnt work :

Dog hair is missing?

|ok I can answer the second question about the fluffiness, but I don't know about the other one except to look for a cream that can help grow the hair back.

The vet uses a very powerful dryer. Our normal hair dryers take what seems like forever to dry the dog. The dryers at the vet have nice powerful ones, and there are different nozzles they use depending on the dog's hair (Flat nozzle for poodles, bichons, shave downs and short haired dogs, medium round for semi long hair and then the wide round nozzle for very long haired dogs). The vet probably uses the flat nozzle.

If you want that fluffiness and since I'm sure you don't have one of those dryers, towel dry him first, then blow the fur out a little, then brush it (it'll separate the hair). Then continue to blow dry him out while you brush him. Work in sections on the body and the head. Now when you get to the ears be careful it's really easy to knot them up. Angle the dryer with the hair growth (down) and brush as needed.

When he's dry and you want to brush him, again work in sections and brush against the hair growth. Use the pin brushes and a comb on the ears and extra fluffiness if you want.

Good luck, hope all goes well!

Dog hair is missing?

your dog with the missing hair probably has allergies and has been itching it off. talk to your vet about giving it allergy capsules.

How do I get this mess of tangles out of my hair without ripping all my hair out?!?

The last few days I've taken a shower, I was in too much of a hurry to brush my hair out, so I just threw it up into a ponytail and left. Now I have huge knots in my hair. Am I going to have to chop it off? Does anyone have any secret remedies they would like to share that work? Thanks for your time.

How do I get this mess of tangles out of my hair without ripping all my hair out?!?

This happened to me once too - i was pretty young ~7/8 and my mom let me start brushing my own hair after a few days I developed HUGE six inch long mats (my hair is ~3ft long) so for idk how long maybe 3hrs my mom patiently brushed them out - they came out no harm done...also when my dog gets a big mat you just have to comb very slowly from the very bottom of the mat - dont plunge your comb into the middle af the knot and pull cause that will just tighten it...i had a friend with curly hair who didnt brush her hair very often and it would get really knotted and she would use a pick...hope this helps - good luck with your hair =D

How do I get this mess of tangles out of my hair without ripping all my hair out?!?

Go to the store and buy detangler spray. Its really helpful in situations like yours.

You can probably find it at a drugstore or a grocery store.

How do I get this mess of tangles out of my hair without ripping all my hair out?!?

The BEST detangling conditioner I've ever used in Paul Mitchell Extra-Body Daily Rinse. I use it after doing highlights for my long-haired friends. Start at the ends and use a detangling comb.

How do I get this mess of tangles out of my hair without ripping all my hair out?!?

Johnson and Johnson makes a spray called "No More Tangles" - my family has been using it since I was a kid. Just spray it in and slowly comb through the knots.

I've also found that using a spray gel works well for this too.

My best "cure" for knotty hair though, if my conditioner. It's all-natural and called "American Cream". When I use it, my comb just slides through my hair and any knots in it come out easily. It's a bit pricey but you can find it at the website below. They ship anywhere, if you order online.

How do I get this mess of tangles out of my hair without ripping all my hair out?!?

work from the bottom, up. NEVER try to detangle hair by starting at the top of your head! gently pull through the tangles, slowly moving the comb farther up your hair with each new stroke you take.

to help, on dry hair, use a deep-conditioning hair mask (TRY: Garnier Fructis Long and Strong 3-Minute Mask) and leave it on the knots for 3 minutes, or longer if you want. This should soften the hair follicle and make it easier to detangle.

How do I get this mess of tangles out of my hair without ripping all my hair out?!?

loads of conditionar while in the shower... run your hands through with the conditionar and try to untangle some knots while in the shower.. then rinse and get out and (being patient) gentley brush your hair without ripping out the knots... if there is still lots of knots use a detangler spray and untangle with your fingers.... hope it works and next time grab a brush for on the go! you can always brush your hair in the car (well if you aren't driving) or something like that. if you're contantly in a hurry consider chopping your hair some. it'll safe time and might help even up the end so they don't get tangled as easily.

How do I get this mess of tangles out of my hair without ripping all my hair out?!?

try conditioner. if that wont work, i use herbal essences cirus lift and a really strong comb.

How do I get this mess of tangles out of my hair without ripping all my hair out?!?

How to relax hair while keeping the curl?

My hair is very curly and frizzy. I don't want to straighten my hair, because I like my natural curls--but I would like to soften them and make my hair easier to brush/comb out. Thanks.

How to relax hair while keeping the curl?

There are new relaxers that have just come out that texturize the hair. They are intended for children but adults can use them as well. However, i suggest you go to a professional and ask her/him to give you a very texturizer. This can be done with a normal relaxer just combed thru the hair without alot of manipulating and straightening. If you want to do it yourself, look for those new texture relaxers.

How to relax hair while keeping the curl?

try FRIZZ ESE its a range of product for frizzy hair, you can use it wet or dry and it does not make the hair look greasy it defines the curls i couldnt cope without it.

try it hope it works for you to x

How to relax hair while keeping the curl?

The form of relaxer your looking for is called a texturizer.

However they have products out there made specifically for curly hair. I have used miss jessies curl pudding when I was natural, and I recommend it. You can find products like this at these sites:

www.missjessies.com

www.curlmart.com

www.carolsdaughter.com

www.treasuredlocks.com

How to relax hair while keeping the curl?

just get a relaxer. there are different types (meaning different chemicals) but basically they do the same thing. they dont take your curls away completely. my hair is naturally reaaalllly curly but i got a relaxer and ive still got curls theyre just way looser and..relaxed.

How to relax hair while keeping the curl?

Try a product called FX Curl Booster fixative gel. You can get it at Walgreens. You'll love it!

How do people get their hair like this?

i always see people like kind of brushing their hair back and then it goes back to normal- how do they get it like this?

How do people get their hair like this?

Bottom line is a good cut. Also, quality products and healthy hair. But without a really well done hair cut to start with, you dont have a chance of it falling back in place and looking good. Ask your stylist...

How do people get their hair like this?

A pic would help here first off. But us with straight hair in the world, just have it fall down, no matter what we do.

How do people get their hair like this?

I agree with above, its the cut. Go to someone who is very experienced with hair and get a really good cut. I go to someone who is Sassoon trained and he's incredible, he can do anything with hair.

How do people get their hair like this?

I know exactly what you're talking about. Like Alicia Silverstone's hair, right? Unfortunately it depends on your hair type. Shampoos, styling products, and the cut can help, but the reason it falls back down so well is because it's super fine (fine as in the thickness and quality of the hair, not as in fine=sexy). My hair is extremely fine and it does this...but that's about all it does. If your hair is fine, you can pull it off, but really only if it's super clean and has no products in it (except maybe a leave in conditioner).

Ten year old losing hair!!?

10 year old is losing quiet a large amount of hair when brushing. She has always had curly and kind of thin hair. However recently her hair is looking a lot more thinner and shorter. There does not be any hair on her pillow, only when brushing lots of strands of hair come on wid the comb. There is not any bald patches, it just looks thin. She is not stressed, but she sometimes doesnt eat very much meat, chicken or fish. Could this be the reason why? The local GP prescribed her with some vitamins, and told me to get her a blood test done. Could this be anything serious? It's gettin really quiet worrying and she has noticed how much hair she is losing. Please help, many thanks.

Ten year old losing hair!!?

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Try takin a certin hair replacemant pill (sold at target) GOOD LUCK!

Ten year old losing hair!!?

yes it could be serious! she could be suffering from an eating disorder and when you are you loose your hair. If she has been loosing weight or is very thin thats the problem i know it soulds crazy but eating disorders can start at the age of 5. If it is talk to her it is terrible if she continues this way

Good luck it also could be genes if any1 in your family has bold hair and is young

Ten year old losing hair!!?

I have researched this question and now I learned something as well.

"Over time, an excess build-up [of DHT] in the follicle causes it to begin shrinking, which in turn alters the natural resting and growth phases of the hair. Some of the follicles eventually die, while others are rendered incapable of producing or maintaining healthy hair growth. The end result, is hair loss -- and a condition that is medically known as androgenic alopecia.

Wavy hair situation??

hi,i have reallly wavy and poofy hair...i usually straighten it but its kind of dried out,i use heat protectant and everything.i can never just brush my hair and go.it takes me so long to do my hair before school.i want to stop harming my hair with the straightener so much.is there any way to stop fighting the wave and perfect it?it gets frizzy over time also.what products can i use in it to make it more easier for me to style?when i wake up its all poofy but the waves are still nice.i use mousse sometimes but i was something to make my waves really stand out.any suggestions?

thanks everyone!!!!

Wavy hair situation??

there's anti frizz serum

and moisturizing shampoos/conditioners

i have the same problem and i use pantene's fortifier. it's basically like a hair mask once a week and it moisturizes your hair.

if not, you can try scrunching hair products and run some through your hair to make your waves stand out. i know a lot of brands have scrunching mousse and other sprays you can try.

or if you just want your hair straightened for a few months, you can get a japanese hair straightening perm [also known as thermal reconditioning]

Wavy hair situation??

Hmm. Your waves to stand out. Well you can get the frizz out for a whole year if you don't mind spending $100-200 dollars getting it permanetly straightened. After that it wouldn't frizz and yo ucan style any way you want.

Wavy hair situation??

Use antifrizz serum, just rub a bit between your palms and rub it over your hair.

It's a miracle product.

Also, try showering before bed or even in the afternoon, if you have time to let it air dry and build up a bit of oil (which isn't gross, it's good for you) then it will be less damaged and frizzy.

Also, you can try showering every other day, as recommended by many stylists that I've talked to. It keeps your hair less dried out.

Wavy hair situation??

hey there, i have the same problem, well if u want pin straight hair use herbal essence pin straight moose, or sunsilk straighten up serum, as for your waves use john freida curl enhancing shamoo/conditioner and spray or just put some moose in your damp hair the night before and put it in braids, hope it helped :)

Wavy hair situation??

There's alot of straightening gels and products that work really well. I would suggest anything by Garnier.

Wavy hair situation??

oay we are in the same boat , i am puertorican and black so it's a pretty curly/wavy and a whole lot of frizzy, u have to train ur hair, wash and condition..but to keep ur hair from dryin out use natural things

Hair damage....?

ok, ive been using a straightning iron now for about a year and a half and my hair now is totally damaged, i use spritz when i do my hair, when i take showers i use alot of conditioner [tresemme] and when i get out of the shower i can't brush my hair that good, its way too tangled, is there any repairs for this? or anything i can use, maybe some good working spritz, while still straightning my hair?? my natural hair is crappy, its wavey and kind of puffy so i would not like to stop straighning my hair...any help?

Hair damage....?

First of all using spritz is not helping at all it is making it worse. You need a deep conditioning treatment. Not Tresemme. You can get a treatment at a salon for about the amount of a hair cut. If your hair is so damaged that if you rub it between your fingers it sounds like a Brillo pad then you need all the damaged cut off. You need to be using a heat protectent on you hair before you use the iron. You do not have to go and spend a fortune to have someone else to do your hair just pay a few dollars more for what your stylist uses. Hint: Pureology is the best on the market period. It does not take a lot to do the job so it will last a long time.

Hair damage....?

Do you flat iron it every day?? Try to do it only once or twice a week.

Hair damage....?

Try using Redken's All Soft Shampoo and Conditioner and they also have a heavy cream conditioner you could use a couple of times a week. Then you definitely need to purchase some high quality protection for your hair to use before you straighten your hair.

Hair damage....?

since u would not like to stop straighening your hair, i suggest why dont u go to a hair saloon to do the long lasting stainghtening 1... it's not just long lasting, it can also made your hair seems healthy at the same time as your crappy, wavy hair had became straight and smooth... and straight hair defitnetly detangle your hair... but remember, after you do the long lasting straightening, you still have to do treatment for your hair often...such as hot oil treatment or hair mask

Hair damage....?

They sell special straightening spray basically anywhere and it protects your hair when you straighten it so you should get that. Don't brush your hair when it's wet. It damages your hair and creates split ends so dry your hair before brushing it.

Hair Crisis! HELP!?

Ok. This is a question about my little sister. Ok. Well she has EXTREMELY thick hair. It is very hard to brush. She has tried getting it thinned, but it didn't work. Whenever she brushes her hair, it breaks off and creates split ends. A lot of them. I have no idea how to help her so that's why I'm asking you guys. Help us please! Any tips would be great!

Hair Crisis! HELP!?

thick hair doesnt seem to be the problem but keeping it healthy does. She is going to have to get rid of the split ends and get a brush designed for thick hair. also do not brush her hair when it is wet; that will cause more damage. Make sure to condtion it well and use a WIDE tooth comb when wet.avoid styling products and blow dryers. if she has to blow dry it place it on the lowest setting with a heat safe product sprayed on her head. she may want to see someone else about thinng it out maybe they didnt do it well enough.i suggest lots of oiling try avocado, sweet almond oil, coconut oil or jojoba oil (once a week). all these can be found at a health good store or you can just mix the oil into your conditioner. you can also visit www.longhaircommunity.com they have allot of great info there

Hair Crisis! HELP!?

Getting hair "thinned" is just another term for layering the hair. It doesn't make it thinner or easier to manage.

Use a good deep conditioner and a detangler after a shower. Brush starting at the bottom and work your way up. (brush the bottom few inches, then brush a little higher, etc) to prevent too much breakage from tangled hair.

Hair Crisis! HELP!?

Stop brushing it, to begin with..... brushing it is making the breakage worse. In the shower, try gently finger-combing the hair while it has conditioner in it to get rid of tangles. Use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner and try a deep conditioning treatment -- they have jars of Hair-masks deep conditioner in the drugstore, or you can even do the mayonnaise treatment. but don't brush it!

Hair Crisis! HELP!?

I used pantene restoration, it helps heal and prevent breaking of hair, also if there is any frizz it really knocks that down. Also if her hair is too long it may tend to break easily, but it is also important if she has really thick hair not to get it cut too short.

Hair Crisis! HELP!?

have her condition her hair 1 time a day. tell her to keep it in for 3 minitues then was out.

and for shampoo and conditioner buy "none of your frizness"by herbal essence. it wil lhelp the split ends.

that should make her hair appear healthier and easier to brush.

now for the thinning.

blow dry her hair and dont let it air dry. that makes it 40% thicker.

so use a flat brush and a blow dryer and brush straight down while blowdrying.

it will work.

trist me my hair it the thickest ever!

Hair Crisis! HELP!?

Try something over the counter called --Lusters Pink Lotion--- it is an African American product and it is not greasy or oily , it conditions your hair and you dont even have to use alot, it helps with the split ends too and it does not make your hair feel as thick.

Hair Crisis! HELP!?

Try leave in conditioner it help soften and detangle the hair also try brushing from down upwards for less damage.

Also don't ''brush'' her hair ''comb'' it with a wide toothed comb and keep it well moisturized!

try this ones:http://www.kiehls.com/_us/_en/catalog/pr...

Hair loss problems!!!!?

Washing your hair will only cause the hairs to fall out that are ready to do so, it won't encourage further hair loss.

There are different types of hair loss, some which are genetic and others that aren't - in order to be certain which type of hair loss you have I would recommend consulting with your doctor/trichologist.

How to use a large round brush?

I know this probably sounds dumb, but how do you blow dry your hair using a large round boar bristle brush fro volume? do you put the top sections up and do the bottom first and work your way up section by section? i just don't know. Thanks

How to use a large round brush?

For Volume you need to lift your roots.

How to use a large round brush?

Well you just brush your hair while blowdrying. i have one of thoes it kinda hard to use but you get the hang of it later =)

How to use a large round brush?

yes you work your way up first do the bottom then the top at last

How to use a large round brush?

it takes practice %26amp; coordination. i am sure it will take a while to realy get the hang of it. yes- bottom to top. you want to build volume on top of volume....

How to use a large round brush?

large round brushes are ment to use to brush on top of the hair your holding in a comb or hand but it also brushes underneath.

Is brushing ur hair a lot GOOD 4 ur hair??

too much brushing is not good. massaging the scalp with just fingers helps in blood circulation and stimulates hair growth.

Is brushing ur hair a lot GOOD 4 ur hair??

i have curly hair and maybe only brush it once a month b/c otherwise it gets too frizzy. i do use a lot of conditioner though. why are you obsessed with brushing?

Is brushing ur hair a lot GOOD 4 ur hair??

NO

Is brushing ur hair a lot GOOD 4 ur hair??

Probably not.

Is brushing ur hair a lot GOOD 4 ur hair??

yes because it stimulates your scalp and make your hair grow

Is brushing ur hair a lot GOOD 4 ur hair??

it depends how much hair, what kind of products you use, and wat kind of hair you have.

if you have skinny hair a.k.a. blondes its good

it can make ur hair shinyer

Is brushing ur hair a lot GOOD 4 ur hair??

r u stupid NO!!!

Is brushing ur hair a lot GOOD 4 ur hair??

No. Brushing your hair a lot can result in breakage. If you have wavy, curly hair it can also make it frizzy. You should also try not to brush your hair when it's wet. Brush your hair enough to get it styled. Make sure you use either some leave in conditioner or detangler when you are brushing your hair though, that will help prevent both frizz and breakage.

Is brushing ur hair a lot GOOD 4 ur hair??

Hi Jess- Brushing stimulates the hair folicles. Never use a brush on wet hair. You tried to email me- Please try again. I would really like to write to you. wendysline@yahoo

Is brushing ur hair a lot GOOD 4 ur hair??

Brushing your hair is good for your hair because it keeps it shiny and there wont be a lot of split ends.

Hair Straitning?

Hey is it true if you brush your hair for half an hour or so your hair goes dead straight or do you need a special serum to put on before you brush it? Thanks! xx

Hair Straitning?

*I don't really think brushing your hair makes it straighter persay...although it can cause some major split ends and damage to an extent. If you do it so much.*

.Try:

Vented ceramic plates provide maximum heat transfer

Iron out curls and waves easily and quickly

OR.......

*Yeah it sucks and it takes time.....go to a salon and buy a hair straightener that they sell. Those work wonders.

.%26gt;%26gt;NOTE: When using an expensive salon straightner, it's always wise to use salon hair care products as well...to keep your hair straight/shiney/healthy.

**You can ask a stylist to tell you which products are right for your hair as well, just to ensure you get what you pay for and you're happy.

.....it's all about the products you use, and how you use them.

.Good luck!

Hair Straitning?

no idea. but i do brush my hair sometimes and it goes curly to straightER

Hair Straitning?

dont know, dont care but thought id round the day off on 300 points. Thanks

Hair Straitning?

it's a lot quicker just to use hair straightners

Hair Straitning?

Not true. Depends on hair type. I suggest you go see a good hair dresser who can point you in the right direction!

Hair Straitning?

that isnt true if you wanted to do that then you would need some product or a hair straightner works good to. you can get a really good one at walmart for like 13 dollars. it has turbo and everyting.

Hair Straitning?

all I think about when I read this is Marcia Brady...I dont think its true, unless you have an ample amount of the right Serum and flattening product or a good flattener this wont work.

if your hair is naturally on the straight side there is a slight chance but anyone with wavy hair..dont count on it.

Hair Straitning?

If you brush your hair while you're blow drying it, it does go straight, but sometimes it gets really frizzy, thats what the serums are for, so it doesn't get frizzy

Hair Straitning?

you probably need to use some product (if your hair is wavy or curly) to get it straight in addition to brushing...or else just blow dry it straight or use a straightener

Hair Straitning?

hasnt worked for me

Hair Straitning?

i dont think you can brush your hair for thirty minutes and get it to go straight

Hair Straitning?

just buy a flat iron if u want ur hair straight, dont keep brushin it cuz its gonna take ur hair hair out. If u have real thick hair dont buy cheap flat irons

Hair Straitning?

my hair is naturaly curly! i mean really curly! when i was little i would sit and brush one spot of my hair for a long time. now that piece of hair has looser curls so yes in a way brushing does straiten your hair but not rite away!

Hair Straitning?

no

Hair Straitning?

I would imagine you would need a serum to put on it, but I wouldn't recommend it doing it - brushing your hair too much actually causes more harm than good! You are better off buying some straighteners and a good heat protector for your hair - I suggest Redken smooth down heat glide - it's a little bit pricey, but it's awesome and it lasts a long time!

Hair Straitning?

I find that highly unlikely. You will open yourself to a higher likelihood of split ends because you inevitably rip out or snap some hair brushing for that long.

Hair Straitning?

Im not sure this is true, i, myself, have naturally wavy hair.

when you brush your hair it will go straighter because your brushing through the waves curles or whatever, but i doubt it will STAY straight, especially if you have hair like mine.

besides would you really want to brush your hair for an hour and a half!?

if you want straight hair i recommend GHDS i have had mine nearly two years now and they keep my hair really straight.

they are quite expensive but worth every penny.

using serums and special shampoos %26amp; conditioners can also help you hair stay straight!

Hair Straitning?

if you have wavy hair or naturaly straight hair with a few cinks (like mine), brushing it for a half hour will circulate the oils and make it straight.

if you have curly hair, the home remedy to make it straight would be

to : 1.brush your hair out and then put your hair in a high ponytail

2. wrap one of those long first aid bandages that people use for sprained ankles around your head, starting at your hairline and ending at the tip of your ponytail.

3. sleep in it.

Hair Straitning?

i highly doubt that will happen. its much easier to use straightening shampoo and conditioner and blow dry it with flat iron spray and a flat brush. or just flat iron it, that would be the easiest.

Hair Straitning?

Um not exactly true....my hair is fine so if I did that it would be staticy! YiKeS

Hair Straitning?

To be honest with you, it would take u just as long to straighten it with straighteners.. there really is no point in trying to get it straight by just brushing it.. i use ghds and ther amazing! :) but u can get cheaper ones which are just as good... but don't forget to put protection spray on ur hair before hand.. i use bed head extra extra straight and its really good! good luck with your hair! x x louise x x

Hair Straitning?

I don't know but you should use a heat protecter spray and that should help the dryness of your hair!!! Good luck

Hair Straitning?

Your hair will never get dead straight from just combing it your just damaging your hair. No matter what straightener you use it will kill your hair. Use a shampoo and conditioner that protects your hair from the heat and use some styling products that help get your hair straight so you spend less time straightening it which means less damage to your hair. Always use a straightener with ceramic plates.

Hair Straitning?

mine doesnt lol

Hair Straitning?

give it a try, its better than straightening i know how you feel with the slit ends.

My hair is thick and frizzy. Its a pain to brush...any styles/ suggestions to make it easier?

My hair is thick and frizzy. Its a pain to brush...any styles/ suggestions to make it easier?

hey, accordin' to me u can take the help of a straightener if that doesnt work out thn oil yuor hair will mixture of heated oils(aromatic if possible)keep it for sumtime and then wash it off with a branded shampoo and thn top it off with a conditioner meant for thick hair nd if evrything fails u can always tie it up doesnt look bad at all!!

My hair is thick and frizzy. Its a pain to brush...any styles/ suggestions to make it easier?

have u tried getting it thinned out?

My hair is thick and frizzy. Its a pain to brush...any styles/ suggestions to make it easier?

Get a good shampoo and an intense conditioner. Hot oil treatments can work wonders and straighteners r just a godsend but please remember to use a heat protection spray. Try not to blow dry and straighten too much tho!!!

My hair is thick and frizzy. Its a pain to brush...any styles/ suggestions to make it easier?

Just tye it up and that is all that you got to do.

My hair is thick and frizzy. Its a pain to brush...any styles/ suggestions to make it easier?

You can have it layered OR you can buy a straightener.

My hair is thick and frizzy. Its a pain to brush...any styles/ suggestions to make it easier?

get your hair relaxed or straightened. just ask for it in your favorite salon. really works, your hair will be tamed in no time. ;)

My hair is thick and frizzy. Its a pain to brush...any styles/ suggestions to make it easier?

Hey there, just a suggestion from a former hairdresser, there is a line of products called "Frizz Ease" available at the supermarket, there are actually 5 different products in the line but if you use them as directed, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the control you will get.....good luck......topsgal1977

My hair is thick and frizzy. Its a pain to brush...any styles/ suggestions to make it easier?

I usually wear my wild, frizzy, out of control hair slicked back in a pony with a side part. You get the most control when you use a slick, sculpting lotion (Joico is good) on WET hair. If you want to wear it down, (assuming you have some wave or curls) still put your gel or sculpting lotion on when hair is wet. Saturate it and let it AIR DRY. The more heat and touching you add, the more frizz you will get.

Good Luck.

My hair is thick and frizzy. Its a pain to brush...any styles/ suggestions to make it easier?

if you want to keep the curl and lose the frizzys try some the products at walmart or a beauty salon that cut down the frizzy my nephews wife as very curly hair if she doesnt use these produts her hair is a frizzy mess. i dont know personally which one she uses , i cant stand any thing in my hair but is just normal thickness with a little natural curl thats a little wacky when its short.

the best of luck

My hair is thick and frizzy. Its a pain to brush...any styles/ suggestions to make it easier?

I have the same problem. I found a hairdresser that I really feel comfortable with. He twists it into sections and then takes scissors and chops (not all the way through). This is a thinning method. It really works. Also I use Paul Mitchell Super Skinny shampoo. It works wonders. It actually shrinks the hair in diamtere. Also when you dry and style your hair, make sure to put product in it. Something that says," Defrizzing or dehumidifier. Read the label. You DO NOT want any thing containing alcohol. You would be surprised how many products have this and it dries out the hair which in turn causes frizz. Good Luck

My hair is thick and frizzy. Its a pain to brush...any styles/ suggestions to make it easier?

Use a wide tooth comb before you get in the shower. When you wash your hair, don't pile it on your head, keep it flat. Use a good conditioner, again don't pile it on your head. Use your flat tooth comb and comb the conditioner through. Rinse. Towel dry and apply a leave in conditioner. Comb through with wide tooth comb. You shouldn't be using a brush on your hair type. This should do the trick!!

My hair is thick and frizzy. Its a pain to brush...any styles/ suggestions to make it easier?

try getting it thinned out and a good flat iron will help to

Black hair turning dark brown?

I am so surprised. I am Korean and 16. And you guys all know that Koreans have black hair (unless you dye yours of course). Well I was brushing my hair today and I saw some dark brown hair. I don't go out in the sun at all. I never dyed my hair in my life. What is happening?!?!?!?

Black hair turning dark brown?

this happens to me too, and i'm asain (thai and japanese). my hair is black but the longer it gets it seems to get a little lighter. maybe you should trom the ends of your hair because they get old, and the color fades. but i think that your hair still fades even though you don't go into the sun often, because i don't and the same thing happens to me

Black hair turning dark brown?

sun and light is on your hair a lot. even if you dont go out in the sun.it gradually turns lighter.....

evryones hair is like that its just easier to tell w/ darker hair

Black hair turning dark brown?

that happened to me too. im taiwanese tho, %26amp; im only half taiwanese soo.....

Crazy curly thick frizzy hair...HELP!!!!!!?

Okay, here is the problem...

I have very thick, curly red hair. The curls on the side are pretty ringlet like curls but the back reminds me a bit like ramen noodles!!! Showers take so long because I have to brush my hair and I lose so much hair! I ring a lot of the water out (I have tried leaving it sopping wet and then applying product but that seems to make it fluffy) I apply garnier fructis leave in conditioner and comb through it. Then I apply garnier fructis soft curl creme. THEN I diffuse it. I know air drying it is better but diffusing gives me more body and more defined curls. I sleep with my hair in a high ponytail in a scrunchie but no matter what I do I get awful knots at the nape! And usually get some sort of rats nest in the back.

Ok so now that you have read that huge thing I guess I'll get to the question(s).

-Product suggestions? The garnier fructis stuff has wax which I think is bad for my hair and whenever I take a shower there is yellowish foam left in it.

Crazy curly thick frizzy hair...HELP!!!!!!?

I have psycho curly thick frizz hair as well. All of my hair is in supercurl mode, but goes to a very soft, wavy testure when I brush it enough. Trust me, when it comes to thick hair, the hairbrush strand thief is your friend. If it weren't for him, my hair'd be horizontal by now.

Anyways, I would suggest daily showers (they're nice, plus you get to try to get your hair in some sort of condition.) I tend to lightly shampoo, then condition your hair. Bring a brush into the shower and run it through the conditioner-filled hair, which gets rid of all of my knots in my rat's nest.

Rinse it out, starting with your original water temperature, then colder, then colder, till its pretty cool (I hate cold showers but if you do it gradually it helps.) The hair, for some reason, holds less cold water than hot. When you finish with the shower, towel dry--make your head parallel to the ground and, with a thick towel, start at the top of the hair and rub your hand on opposite sides of the towel while bringing it down. Brush it right after this to ensure that the toweling antics don't knot up your hair. Don't use a hair drier. The cold water method makes my spongey, holds-water-in-all-day-long hair almost completely dry.

For products, I use VO5 and Suave. The Suave Humectant conditioner is working pretty well for me, and VO5 is great overall--it's cheap, smells nice, and works. Plus it isn't a pain to get out.

Crazy curly thick frizzy hair...HELP!!!!!!?

There are a few things you can do to help: First, you need to use a shampoo and conditioner that is either for curls or smoothing (not straightening, but frizz-fighting). IT sounds stupid, but it really does make a difference. You mentioned that you are brushing out your hair in the shower; make sure you only do this with conditioner in your hair, because brushing wet hair will cause a lot of damage. Products like Curls Rock by Catwalk are great for styling creams. Apply them before you use the diffuser or air dry. Before you go to bed, apply a leave in conditioner (like Healthy Sexy Hair SoyTri-Wheat Leave in Conditioner), which should fight the tangling. Hope this helps, and good luck!

24 years old and hair is thinning?

I know the best choice is probably for me to go to a doctor (OBGYN, dermatologist, or..?) but until I can afford that-- why am I losing so much hair to the brush everyday, to the point that when it's wet its very noticeable? It's not too bad dry, yet; there're no bald patches and new hair seems to be growing in, but still.. why? Is it true prolonged weight loss can do it? Because in the last year I dropped 73lbs and am trying to lose 17 more. I used to have PCOS (poly-cystic ovarian syndrome), but since I lost the weight all symptoms of it have completely disappeared except the thinning hair. Is it related to that though? If it helps: My hair is hip-length and I'm a 24-year-old brunette female with hispanic and caucasian ancestry, who uses store-brand shampoos once every day and jogs 2 hours a day, 4 - 5 days a week. When I jog my first hour I don't get a shower in until after the second jog that night, and I also sometimes go to bed with my hair wet. Is all that killing it?

24 years old and hair is thinning?

It sounds like the effects of PCOS. I would go to the doctor to make sure that your thyroid is in order.

24 years old and hair is thinning?

ya might go to a salon and see what kind of products they have for that....possibly even Rogaine

A terrible hair color ..?

ok do i decided to bleach blonde my dirty blonde hair adn it turned out to be the worse looking yellowish/orangeish color ever..i cant stand it .and i noticed thet when i brush my hair my scalp hurts a little bit on the top. it might ve been from rubbing the dye mizture into my hair accidentally .but i was just wondering ifi could recolor my hair as soon aspossible without it damagin my hair ..

Styling Hair in the Morning... ugh?

Ok, after I wash my hair at night, with the right products, it looks pretty good, not really straight, but with a slight of wavy lines.

I go to bed, in the morning, it gets all messy and wavy ish curly.

Is there anyways or techniques I can use to fix this and turn it straight or not have to spend an hour each morning trying to style it into straight hair?

Most people with naturally soft and straight hair can just brush it a few times and it turns back normal.

But I have to spend 30 minutes using water to style it. After 15 minutes or when it dries it gets all puffy and frizzy again. But this is my only way of straightening it and gettin it into style (I don't use a hair straightener, don't recommend that to me)

Any ideas? I have tried braiding it at night but that doesn't seem to work much..

Help

Styling Hair in the Morning... ugh?

Maybe try using a gel? Put it in your hair at night when it is wet. It won't be hard when it dries but it will keep everything in place.

i would definitely recommend some frizz stuff. Anything by John Frieda can help with that!

good luck..i know it sucks to do that stuff in the morning!

Styling Hair in the Morning... ugh?

do wat ever u do with it in th emornig instead of at night!!!

Styling Hair in the Morning... ugh?

take a shower in the morning and just scrunch it, thats fast and simple

Styling Hair in the Morning... ugh?

Sorry you have to do your hair in the morning! hate to say it but I have to do that with my curly hair eveyday if I want it to look it's best. If not I can get away with a day or two of not so perfect hair

Styling Hair in the Morning... ugh?

sleep w/ a silk scarf on ur head and or sleep with it in a braid

loose but not tight it will make it curly

Styling Hair in the Morning... ugh?

braiding only makes it worse

i use a straightener, but i didn't always, so heres what u can do:

-You could fation some sort of bag (kinda durable) just big enouph to contain ur ponytail, and put it in and secure it (hair tie)

-If you have short hair, wear a beanie

-A shampoo that sort of straitens hair, but not all the way, still giving it that "slightly wavy" look

i've asked similar questions w/out prevail, what worked for me is experimentation, and some changes to my schedule. As in waking up earlier and doing ur hair then.

Styling Hair in the Morning... ugh?

good question! Welcome to the real world. You're hair will never look amazing if you don't take time with it. End of story. If you shower at night and sleep on it, you will rarely get the results you want with your hair. The only way to change your style is to change your routine. Sorry charlie! :)

Will somebody please do something with Victorias hair on Y&R?

there is absolutely no reason for her hair to be looking like that. And don't tell me anything about her being pregnant. you can still comb and brush your hair

Will somebody please do something with Victorias hair on Y%26amp;R?

I agree with Kitties_4me2 ... I liked Heather Tom better, too...

Will somebody please do something with Victorias hair on Y%26amp;R?

LOL, her har is a little "wild"...It always looks like her and JT have just got done,lol....

I wonder why they do that to her and not the other women on the show?? Even Esther gets her hair done,lol...

Will somebody please do something with Victorias hair on Y%26amp;R?

LOL! you must be watching Soapnet...it looks like a bag of cheap hair weave!

Will somebody please do something with Victorias hair on Y%26amp;R?

LOL!! I so agree with you. Even if they pulled it back, put it in a loose bun or something!

Will somebody please do something with Victorias hair on Y%26amp;R?

omg she is a hot mess... not all pregnant women look like that.... the hairstylist need to be replaced instead of the characters.

Will somebody please do something with Victorias hair on Y%26amp;R?

HER HAIR IS BAD BUT LOOK AT HER tEETH! God, all the $$$$$ they make they can't look in the mirror and get to a denist???? a real mess...

Will somebody please do something with Victorias hair on Y%26amp;R?

I just figure that she just gets to the make-up and hair chair just minutes before they begin shooting an episode. Apparently her looks have never been a big priority to the show.

Will somebody please do something with Victorias hair on Y%26amp;R?

I think/hope they are trying to show her as having a hectic life and in complete disarray because her personal life is. I just want to tell her to pull it back out of her face etc....

Will somebody please do something with Victorias hair on Y%26amp;R?

did somebody say hare?

Will somebody please do something with Victorias hair on Y%26amp;R?

LOL...Maybe she needs a relaxer to tame that freezy mane.

Will somebody please do something with Victorias hair on Y%26amp;R?

I'm sure she was late for work and did her own hair and makeup. And I agree, her teeth are too big. She needs braces or something. Nothing against her personally, but I don't like her as Victoria. I like Heather Tom. They should have gone with a different actress to play this character when she left...

Will somebody please do something with Victorias hair on Y%26amp;R?

It was so ratty on Friday's show. She must refuse to let the hairdressers do her hair. Her hair is out of control.

Will somebody please do something with Victorias hair on Y%26amp;R?

i agree. i thought i was the only one who noticed how terrible victoria's hair was. a while back ago i also made a comment on this about her hair and others did agree and they also pointed out how horrible her teeth were.

Will somebody please do something with Victorias hair on Y%26amp;R?

Being pregnant isnt an excuse her hair has looked like that since she came back. I think its the actress.

Have a hair question!?

I am a 22 yr old guy and am concerned for my locks! My scalp itches most of the day and when I scratch hair comes off in my hands or if I pull every so gently hair comes out. I do not have serious dandruff but some white flakes are noticable when I scratch. Does this mean I am begining to loose my hair? I used to spike it up and now am afraid to do so because my scalp is now visible.

Also does brushing your hair at least once a day help hair in any way? (sorry for the rhyme scheme)

Are there any side-effects with propecia? Will that help with making my hair thicker in any way?

I am trying to make an apponitment with a dermotologist but I won't be able to see her for a couple weeks, and am worried that I am in a race against the clock! Please help!!!

Have a hair question!?

Don't loose your cool yet. You could be suffering from psoriasis (a treatable skin condition) or even an alergic reaction to all the products you've used. Try washing your hair with a mild shampoo and lukewarm water to avoid further irritating your scalp.Remember to massage gently- don't scratch. Forget styling products for awhile, at least until you've seen the dermatologist. She will rule out other possibilities (like thyroid trouble) based on your symptoms.

Why is my hair falling out ?

maybe you've dyed it to much and you're gonna go bald, lol. you should talk to your doctor

Why is my hair falling out ?

well dying is bad for it so that could be part, just stop dying it and find a shampoo that can help. it could also be hereditary, or stress that can do that to a person. good luck.

Why is my hair falling out ?

Maybe you have dyed it so much to the point where it's literally just ripping out of your head. Stress can also be a factor in hair loss.

Stop dyeing it, stop washing it everyday, etc.
