Does anyone know about toupees and men's hair piece?

Ok, I started seeing this guy I really like. I met him a few weeks ago and we've been to a couple of dates. The other day we got closer and I noticed he didn't let me touch his head. He was very nice about it and I noticed that he has a hair piece. Honestly I never noticed. Before I just thought he brushed his hair funny, but I think he really does have fake hair that's glued on. He is very sweet and attentive and I just felt a little weird about it. I would like to hear from other men who have hair pieces or toupees and how I should act about this.

Does anyone know about toupees and men's hair piece?

Dunno, just ignore it I guess.

How can i get my hair to grow long faster?

im trying to grow my hair out, its very thick, frizzy, and curly

ive heard that vitamins and stuff like protein will help it grow faster and also massaging ur head and horse shampoo and brushing your hair a lot

what if any of these work and is there anything else i can try?

i am also thinking about dying my hair is that bad for making it grow longer? is straightening it bad too?

How can i get my hair to grow long faster?

Hair straightening is particularly damaging to the hair. I try to not use it on my clients. Instead, I opt to use smoothing shampoos and conditioners. Also try to avoid hair dyeing. If you must dye your hair, try henna.

If your hair growth is really at issue, Propecia, Rogaine, and DHT blockers can help. But, the problem with all of these products is they are expensive, have temporary results that stop after use of the product, lastly, they have side effects. Thus, the best way to grow your hair fast is to take care of your hair from the inside out. Assess whether you live an unhealthy lifestyle or use traditional drugstore hair products that contain alcohol and sulfates. If you do, you can potentially be stunting your hair growth. I am a stylist, and if you follow the tips below, you can grow your hair. These tips have worked on several of my clients.

Tip #1: Change your diet.

Increase your intake of proteins. Eat fish, eggs, beans, yogurt, and cheese.

Tip # 2: Drink plenty of water

6-8 glasses is a must. 8-12 is even better.

Tip #3: Get your vitamins

Take a B Complex, Fish Oil, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E.

Tip #4: Only use an all-natural hair growth or hair thickening shampoos and conditioners

There are several good natural shampoos on the market, such as Aubrey Organics and Giovanni. However, I have used A Double Portion Super Hair Growth Shampoo on my hair loss clients because it is created specifically for hair growth and I have seen substantial results in a matter of month. It is full of hair growth promoting essential oils, sage, cayenne, neem, jojoba, and aloe. For my clients that used it, their hair got thicker, longer, and softer. You can find it online at wwwdiscoverb4acom. It is great shampoo just for making your hair more manageable and smooth as well.

Tip #5: Place as little heat and chemicals on your hair as possible. No hair coloring please.

Tip #6: Live a stress free life.

Tip #7: Get your blood flowing

Aerobic exercise stimulates blood circulation throughout the entire body, including the scalp. This is important for hair growth. Also, consider massaging your scalp for 5-10 minutes a day with warm olive or coconut oil. It will accentuate your hair growth as well.

How can i get my hair to grow long faster?

get it trimed offtan that helps get rid of the dead hare and maks the helthy hare grow faster. it worked for me

How can i get my hair to grow long faster?

drink lots of milk, protein and I thinkviteimin d!!!!!!!!!

How can i get my hair to grow long faster?

ya...well vitamins are good....also make sure to keep the dead ends cut off....and straightening a lot can damage your ends and dying a lot can defiently can kill it......

How can i get my hair to grow long faster?

You should trim your hair and then in everytime it grows back it should be twice as much longer then it was before!

Dying your hair can damage your hair.........It also makes your hair dry.........It changes you hair texture into something weird.................... ;-D

How can i get my hair to grow long faster?

Try to avoid heat styling if you can, it damages hair and slows growth. Get trims every couple months ( that doesn't make your hair grow faster but it does get rid of split ends before they get worse and do more damage.)

Eating healthy and drinking plenty of water (8-10 glasses a day) helps, what you put into your body shows in your hair, skin and nails.

Multivitamins and other supplements can help. Biotin is the most popular but you'll need to take very large amounts (5,000 mcgs- 20,000 mcgs a day) effects vary, I've seen a little difference and I take 15,000. It is safe to take that amount because it's a water soluble viatmin meaning whatever your body doesn't absorb you'll pee out. Other supplements that are beneficial are MSM, Flaxseed Oil, Zinc, Evening Primrose oil.

Try this website ( http://www.longhaircommunity.com ), they have a lot of good information. Who knows better how to get hair to grow to it's max length then people who have it down to their butt :D

How can i get my hair to grow long faster?

1st of all brushing ur hair to much is a definite "NO-NO"!

2nd don't straightn ur hair or dye it while trying to help it grow faster!

My advice is...

The healthier ur body is the healthier ur hair is. Maintain a healthy diet. Also using baby oil (though it sounds weird) really helps and do does "Doo Gro" stimulating hair growth works. And take vitamins daily.

Good Luc %26lt;3

I am only 20 years old and for the past 3 months my hair has been thinning and falling out?

every time i brush my hair i lose about 100 hairs that is not to mention how much i find in my bed or clothes etc. i normally wash my hair every 2 days and when i do i lose at least 100 in the shower and then when i brush of cource i make sure its dry at least another 100 is this normal it seems like i only aused to lose about 40 hairs aday even when i washed my AND I BRUSH MY HAIR BEFORE I GET INTO THE SHOWER hair will this stop and when

I am only 20 years old and for the past 3 months my hair has been thinning and falling out?

It is normal to lose 100 hairs from your head everyday. Excessive hair loss and/or a change in your hair loss pattern needs to be discussed with a doctor. There are several medical reasons why this is happening. Please consult your physician a.s.a.p.

I am only 20 years old and for the past 3 months my hair has been thinning and falling out?

think about ur stress...have u been stressed out lately? has ur period changed? all of these hormonal changes can cause u to lose ur hair... u should go talk to a doctor asap...

I am only 20 years old and for the past 3 months my hair has been thinning and falling out?

stress, stress , stress. you need to immediately see a dermatologist and consult you physician about maybe some health problems. seriously

Does brushing your hair too much ruin it?

Yes it is possible. It can cause spilt ends which blocks your hair from growing which makes your hair shorter as you grow taller.

Remeber brushing it is better than combing it though. Have you ever noticed when you comb your hair its lots of hair in the comb. Well that means your combing your hair out.

I advice you not to comb or bruch unless you really need to but it depends no the type of hair.

Does brushing your hair too much ruin it?

some times it could because too much friction in your hair could cause damage and loss. one thing u can never do to ur hair is comb it when it is wet because you have just washed away ur natural oils and it is bare so whn you comb it is very likely that alot of hair will break off or becomes loose.

Does brushing your hair too much ruin it?

Nahhhh.. i unless you brush it like aver 10 ,15, 20

minutes...i will get like dryed out!! its freaky..

Hope i helped!

Does brushing your hair too much ruin it?

Ahh No........Just look at Marcia Brady's hair. Just kinding but seriously, brushing keeps the hair from being tangled, remember to brush your scalp. This will help the hair grow and stay healthy.

Does brushing your hair too much ruin it?

As long as you are not rough no, it spreads the oils to make hair shinier, its a good thing.

Does brushing your hair too much ruin it?

Yes, brushing stretches the hair causing it to snap and break off.

Does brushing your hair too much ruin it?

yes, but if you use a natural boar bristle brush then it helps spread the natural oils in your hair, which also results in awesome/healthier hair!!! :)

Does brushing your hair too much ruin it?

Yeah. D=

Has anyone never cut their hair ever or has REALLY long hair? Is it had to take care of?

Hi, my name is Hope and I've NEVER cut my hair! It's as long as... well, it's really long. I usually put it in a bun. It is dark black, almost blue and it's shiny.

So my other question in this matter... for those with liong hair, is it a hassle to clean and brush your hair everyday? It does for me. I have to spend an hour in the night to clean it and about 30 minutes to brush it in the day and in the night.

Has anyone never cut their hair ever or has REALLY long hair? Is it had to take care of?

I have long waist length hair, that I love, mines not hars to take care of, I take a 20min shower wash%26amp;dry it and it's beautiful mines just really thick!

Has anyone never cut their hair ever or has REALLY long hair? Is it had to take care of?

i have fairly long hair and yes it takes time to take care of my hair its a pain

Has anyone never cut their hair ever or has REALLY long hair? Is it had to take care of?

Do you have pictures? i want to see your hair! lol I've had long hair that is difficult to take care of and I do now, but not nearly as long as yours must be! I've cut my hair numerous times.

Has anyone never cut their hair ever or has REALLY long hair? Is it had to take care of?

My friends has hair down to her butt and she said it's not that bad to deal with.

Has anyone never cut their hair ever or has REALLY long hair? Is it had to take care of?

My hair is very long and it is hard to deal with many times but it depends on the type of hair you actually have

Has anyone never cut their hair ever or has REALLY long hair? Is it had to take care of?

wow i caint believe you never cut your hair how long is it? anyways you need a cool cut!

Has anyone never cut their hair ever or has REALLY long hair? Is it had to take care of?

my hair used to go down to my behind. it's not too hard to care for, kinda hard to reach all of it in the shower though. and if you blow dry your hair it takes a while, if its windy you have a big mess :p but nothing too bad. i liked it actually.

Has anyone never cut their hair ever or has REALLY long hair? Is it had to take care of?

Yeah, it's hard. It doesn't take that long for me to take care of my hair, but it is a lot to manage. I always wear my hair down, I love showing off how long it is! I have to use a lot of shampoo/conditioner...but it's worth it!

Has anyone never cut their hair ever or has REALLY long hair? Is it had to take care of?

I have hair almost to my belly button and I consider it quite long :S This is the hairstyle that I like, so I figure that washing it, styling it, and combing it etc. is kinda like.. part of the package of having long hair.

I'm getting my hair cut soon though, because I'm getting sick of the way it looks.

Has anyone never cut their hair ever or has REALLY long hair? Is it had to take care of?

wow! that is too long. I wouldn't waist that long brushing my hair. And wouldnt you like to take it out of that bun sometime in your life. I suggest getting your hair cut. I did a few weeks ago... and i love it beinh shorter

Has anyone never cut their hair ever or has REALLY long hair? Is it had to take care of?

i envy u!

i lost my hair because of treatment, and its now really short!

never cut your hair!

Has anyone never cut their hair ever or has REALLY long hair? Is it had to take care of?

i have long hair and i've been growing my hair out for about 10 years..ony getting it trimmed. i like putting my hair in a bun..but when i put it in a high bun it makes my head want to fall back! however...it is not super long and it only takes me a few minutes to wash and clean it.

Has anyone never cut their hair ever or has REALLY long hair? Is it had to take care of?

I have long black hair I love it,that is one thing that as a Pakistani woman I am blessed with long beautiful black hair without my hair I have nothing. It is easy to take care of just wash and tie back and sometimes lets loose and free. British people have short hair on the most part.

Has anyone never cut their hair ever or has REALLY long hair? Is it had to take care of?

cut it

Has anyone never cut their hair ever or has REALLY long hair? Is it had to take care of?

WOAH ssly? then you should cut it to save you time and stuff!!!

ive cut my hair of course in the past. its bad if you dont cut it cause then you can get split ends :/

my hair is a little past my chest and it only takes like 1 min to comb every morning but to wash my hair it takes some more time of course.

shorter hair is easier to take care of but you should get the length of hair that llooks best on you.

but im serious. dont you get sick and tired of tying your hair up eveery SINGLE day???

my mom got sick of that her hair was a little longer than mine so she cut it short and now its easier for her.

i advise you cut it somewhat shorter? yeppp hoped i helped^^ :]

Has anyone never cut their hair ever or has REALLY long hair? Is it had to take care of?

i have never cut my hair because it is my faith as to not cut it.... so to answer your question i should say that no its not really hard just takes a while to do it, i put my hair in a bun to and well i think you should keep your hair, well that is if you haven't already cut it. If your looking for something religious well God gave woman there hair for strength in Him. and im sure it's really pretty.

Has anyone never cut their hair ever or has REALLY long hair? Is it had to take care of?

Mine is just below my waist. I don't wash it everyday; you don't really need to. The brushing can take a while especially after swimming.

However, if it is getting to be a hassle cut it to a managable length; it is just hair. I keep mine long because otherwise it develops weird curls.

Has anyone never cut their hair ever or has REALLY long hair? Is it had to take care of?

Yes, people with long hair have a very hard time to work with it. If you are having too many problems with and and don't like doing it, I advise you to cut a little off. If you like it the way it is, keep it! It is normal for it to take a loonnnnggg time to work with it. Whatever choice you make, have fun and GOODLUCK!

Has anyone never cut their hair ever or has REALLY long hair? Is it had to take care of?

yea i had long hair when i was younger and i didnt cut it until like 4 years ago so i remember how it was. it is a hassle but if you like your long hair and can deal with it, than its cool but if your questioning cutting your hair because it is too much than maybe you should. i ended up not cutting that much, like about 6 inches? and now its about 3 inches down from my sholder on each side. i remember washing it took 2 hours and then combing it was...an hour, and pressing it was another 3-4 hours.

Has anyone never cut their hair ever or has REALLY long hair? Is it had to take care of?

Don't cut your hair. If you do decide to cut it, please consider donating it to locks for love. It is a great charity that helps out children cancer patients.

Try skipping a day between washing your hair. There really is no reason to wash it daily unless you are using a lot of product or tend to have greasy hair. If you're just sick of the bun, why not try a braid for awhile, a ponytail, something else if that is what you're looking for. Honestly, I love buns. They keep your hair out of your face, but your hair is still there for when you're ready to let it down.

Good luck to you.

Has anyone never cut their hair ever or has REALLY long hair? Is it had to take care of?

wow, thats really amazing! i think someone before me answered that they envy you because they lost their hair to a treatment. if your hair is in good condition, you should definently DONATE IT!!!!!!!!!! I can't tell you how many people wish they still HAD hair, let alone long hair! it will make someone soooo happy if you donate it to get a wig made out of it!!! really!!!

Has anyone never cut their hair ever or has REALLY long hair? Is it had to take care of?

I just cut my hair for the first time about a month ago (I only got 7 inches cut off but it's a lot easier to handle now). My sister's never gotten hers cut... so I know how you must feel. Yes, it's a pain in the neck to take care of my hair. I only wash my hair every other day (sometimes a day more after that) that way I don't strip the natural oils too badly and have to worry about my hair being one big frizz ball. My hair's kinda wavy and a little on the thin side so it's easy to break and look really bad if I don't take care of it. I use a mix of the Blonde Moisturizing, Loreal kids sport, and dandruff shampoo (all together) when I wash my hair... it seems to work. Um, something I found out is that my hair looks EXACTLY the same when I brush my hair out 50 million times while it's drying after washing it-- and when I just ignore it and let it air dry slightly tangled and brush it out once when it's dry. Leave in conditioner is key for keeping those funny frizzy underside hairs calm, too.

Long response... sorry. but hope it helps.

Has anyone never cut their hair ever or has REALLY long hair? Is it had to take care of?

I had long hair when I was in my 20s and it was a pain to brush and I had lots of split ends. It made me really hot when it was down so I kept it up a lot.

Then when I was around 30 I cut it and kept it short. I love it short, don't even have to dry it with a dryer, it dries in the air in about 15 minutes.

Has anyone never cut their hair ever or has REALLY long hair? Is it had to take care of?

Congrats..DON"T cut it...i had my hair down on the floor but now I have to maintain it to my ankles because i live in a dorm at uni and i don't trust the cleanliness of the bathroom floors there (I share). Buns have always worked for me but i've found that i get a lot of neckpains as i've gotten older (i'm in my early 20s) when i put it in a bun..or maybe its the lenght and how high i tie the bun..in any case i wear alot of braids these days.

Has anyone never cut their hair ever or has REALLY long hair? Is it had to take care of?

cut it...

it is alot easier to take care of if its short.

i swear

What should I do to keep my hair healthy??

I just had gotten my hair cut today, and I was so nervous because I was a bit self-conscious to be critisized...You see..I shed alot of hair...ALOT..and I have a little bit too ..and Im only 17 years old...I'm scared that when I grow older, I would still find clumps of hair on my brush until I will be bald...and believe me...it frightens me...alot. The guy even told me and noticed of how much hair I was losing..I wanted to cry!!! But as he cut it, and dryed it...my hair looked so healthy, and finally half of my hair wasn't covered on the brush. My question is how do I take care of my hair? What should I do to make it seem a little more...so much healthier...grow quicker...I'm stuck...because I wish I had more hair...I feel very depressed about this...for me it's very important to have healthy hair, and the fact I have not taken care of it which I regret...my question is...CAN I change it? Is it possibLe to get my old hair back the way it was 3 years ago...HELP!

:-(

What should I do to keep my hair healthy??

the best way to stop shedding hair is to eat well and stress less. Stress really can make ur hair fall out.

What should I do to keep my hair healthy??

Choose the right shampoo when you wash your hair.

Why am I losing my hair so fast?

I'm 22 years old. Up until last May, I had a perfectly straight hairline. I always had my hair pretty short. Then, while I was in Afghanistan, I got shot in the leg. Ever since then my hair has been falling out at a very fast rate. If I brush my hair, the whole sink is full of hairs. This time next year, if this keeps up, I will have almost nothing left. My dad is 60 and he has all his hair. My brother is almost 40 and yes, he's lost some hair, but it's just a little worse then mine. Losing my hair this young and this fast is much more traumatizing than getting shot. I wouldn't mind losing it if I knew it was male pattern baldness. I just don't think it's supposed to happen this fast. Does anyone know if this is related to my gunshot wound? Thanks.

Why am I losing my hair so fast?

I think it could be alipicia. (spelling?)

Why am I losing my hair so fast?

I would not say that it is related to your gun shot wound, but a lot of times when you are on certain medications for a prolonged period of time can cause hair loss. Also, wearing hats, baseball caps- whatever can cause hair loss.

If it continues to get worse, I would consult a physician.

Good Luck.

Why am I losing my hair so fast?

The problem comes from your mothers side of the family too, keep that in mind.

How do you get kinks out of your hair??

I have somewhat curly hair, it's a little less curly than my avatar's hair. I sleep with a ponytail in so that my hair stays good and doesn't get all knotted and stuff. But when I wake up in the morning my hair has a bug kink where the ponytail holder was. How do I get it out without straightening it or taking a shower?

I also don't really like brushing my hair because it gets all frizzy and poofy. Is there any way that i can prevent that from happening?

How do you get kinks out of your hair??

make your pony tail holder loose and only rap it around your pony tail twice

i use to clip it up and it didn't have anything and my hairs naturaly curly as your avatar no lie

How do you get kinks out of your hair??

Wet it with a spray bottle and use a wide tooth comb

How do you get kinks out of your hair??

A hair strightner!

How do you get kinks out of your hair??

there's such thing as a detangling spray...

How do you get kinks out of your hair??

umm there is no other way just dont sleep with a pony, or brush it (thats gross if u dont brush it),or invest in a hair straightener

Help with my hair!?!?

I seldom wear my hair down, because it is frizzy (go figure) :-)

this is my routine today, because i want nice hair for tonight (very important..!)

1) shampoo

2) conditioner.. leave in 3 min, rinse out, then rinse cool

3) dry.. let air dry for 5 or so minutes so it will only be damp for when i add..

4) leave- in conditioner

5) defrisant product*

6) separate strands and blow dry with round brush

7) when hair is dry go over strands with straightening iron to smooth out remaining frizz

8) spritz each section with firm holding hair spray or styling product

does this sound good?

what could i change?

i have a question about 6) as well.. when do i apply the defrisant product? before, after, or during i blow dry it? or around the clock, as needed? maybe a little before, then a little during, then a little more after? hmm help appreciated!!

thanks for ALL tips!!

Help with my hair!?!?

i see your problem..... you can't let your hair air dry and then blow dry it.... your hair will get really really frizzy and kinda dry....oh and you also don't put 2 different kinds of conditioners in your hair, it kind of "confuses" your hair. But i recommend the leave-in conditioner.....

how about this:

1) shampoo

2)leave-in conditioner--put a lot of it in your hair...

3)blow dry

4)defrisant product****

5)straightening iron

6)Spritz it!

THe defrisant product should be used after you blow dry your hair...

just 1 application is good for the defrisant...

Help with my hair!?!?

sounds good, but try CURLING your hair, it would probably keep it more under control. Glad to help!

Help with my hair!?!?

Get a Straightening Iron this really helps with my daughter's frizz hair. :)

Help with my hair!?!?

That's perfect. Yes conditioner is a BIG part of the straight and smooth process, if I were you I'd add a lot, not as much toward the roots though. Have so much fun!

Help with my hair!?!?

NO NO NO NO NO NO dont do any of that please go to a professional and let them use a chi iron on your hair baby it works wonders i tell you.

Help with my hair!?!?

OMG!!!!

if you style your hair like this everyday? No wonder they are so frizzy...

try to give your hair a rest time to time, condition it well with a good conditioner ( try Purology)

do a hair mask once a week for 3-4 hours (jojoba oil + olive oil +egg yolk+ bit of lemon juice), then wash twice and follow with conditioner.

when you stay home all day, let your hair dry naturally, do not use blowdryer.

help your hair and treat it well, in 2-3 month you won't need all those products you use now..

to answer your question about defrisant: there are different types, however, most of them you should apply on damp hair before styling.

my personal preference:

1. when I wear my hair straight: Paul Mitchel Skinny ( before styling) - makes hair ultra managable and "skinny"

2. when I don't use flat iron - Frederick Fekkai Olive Oil Leave in Conditioner - before or after styling - fights freeze and adds shine.

How to relax hair while keeping the curl?

My hair is very curly and frizzy. I don't want to straighten my hair, because I like my natural curls--but I would like to soften them and make my hair easier to brush/comb out. Thanks.

How to relax hair while keeping the curl?

There are new relaxers that have just come out that texturize the hair. They are intended for children but adults can use them as well. However, i suggest you go to a professional and ask her/him to give you a very texturizer. This can be done with a normal relaxer just combed thru the hair without alot of manipulating and straightening. If you want to do it yourself, look for those new texture relaxers.

How to relax hair while keeping the curl?

try FRIZZ ESE its a range of product for frizzy hair, you can use it wet or dry and it does not make the hair look greasy it defines the curls i couldnt cope without it.

try it hope it works for you to x

How to relax hair while keeping the curl?

The form of relaxer your looking for is called a texturizer.

However they have products out there made specifically for curly hair. I have used miss jessies curl pudding when I was natural, and I recommend it. You can find products like this at these sites:

www.missjessies.com

www.curlmart.com

www.carolsdaughter.com

www.treasuredlocks.com

How to relax hair while keeping the curl?

just get a relaxer. there are different types (meaning different chemicals) but basically they do the same thing. they dont take your curls away completely. my hair is naturally reaaalllly curly but i got a relaxer and ive still got curls theyre just way looser and..relaxed.

How to relax hair while keeping the curl?

Try a product called FX Curl Booster fixative gel. You can get it at Walgreens. You'll love it!

What is the best products to use when you have hair extensions?

Hi guys

Hope you all had a nice Xmas and New Year? But I need help........ i have had my hair extensions using glue put in last Saturday and i wore it on the night out the same day i had my hair done. The next day when i was brushing my hair, it was dull, dry and fizzy. Would it be because of the smoke/ drinks spillage and walking past people with cigs(accidently singe my hair) could damaged my hair. I've now washed my hair using Advance Technique Sleek and Smooth Shampoo and Conditoner from Avon. I had to was it upright to stop it from being matted and tangled. After when my hair was dried, it looked dry and frizzy but not as dull looking. What it is the best product to use to keep it maintained as to when i first bought it? I also use hair straightners but it heats up quickly to about 120oC. Any suggestions would help.

Thanks x

What is the best products to use when you have hair extensions?

Do you have human hair or synthetic extensions.... it makes a difference. I have human hair extns and I like Biolage shampoo %26amp; conditioner. Make sure you put your hair in a ponytail or pigtails when you go to sleep...that will help the hair from getting matted and tangled. 'Shine'products work well to make hair shiny and not frizzy, and it not too expensive.

Hope this helps :)

What is the best products to use when you have hair extensions?

of Biosilk Silk Therapy Serum. This should solve your problem. worked great for me. Makes mine so straight %26amp; shiny that I rarely use a flat iron . Also don"t buy fake yaki hair. Use human hair only.True yaki hair comes from a yaki - the kind thats an animal. There hair is ugly dri %26amp; coarse. They process %26amp; sell it. It looks good. Then u wash it once %26amp; its hopeless. Good quality hair makes all the difference in the world. Goood Luuuck. Also

not everthing works well not even specialty products that claim to do the trick.

What is the best products to use when you have hair extensions?

hello i use a product called leave in spray from a company called DOME if you have heard of them you can put it on ya hair when blowdrying and when straightenin and it makes the hair look so shiny and even if you havnt washed it for 2 days that brings it back to life and also stops it from getting singyed !!

What is the best products to use when you have hair extensions?

I have the "Great Lengths" ones which are human hair of the best quality. I use only Pureology products - shampoo %26amp; conditioner. They make this stuff called "Anti Tap" that you mix with water %26amp; spray on wet hair - it changes the pH or something, and it helps, I use serums only on the ends, away from the bonds, and I use the brush they gave me on it. So far, I haven't had one come loose in a month, and I have no frizz, either. Good Luck

Major hair problem!! please help!!!?

my hair keeps getting puffed up

if i take a shower and tie my hair in a bun, and take it out and brush my hair the next day, it becomes all puffed up. any advise on what to do about it. like a hair spray or a specific shampoo or conditioner

thx!

Major hair problem!! please help!!!?

Use a hair straightening iron on it. Everyone's hair gets puffy/frizzy/poofy. Also get a smoothing balm and use a pea size amount throughout your hair after you straighten it. The straightening will smooth out the hair, its not just for straightening curly hair...mine is straight and I use it on mine. Also, once a week use a deep hair conditioner, they come in tubs, you buy them at the drug store or walmart...try neutrogena or pantene pro-v. Not the regular conditioner, but the deep conditioning weekly treatment.

Major hair problem!! please help!!!?

DONT TIE YOUR HAIR IN A BUN. DUH

geez peoples these days

Major hair problem!! please help!!!?

Smooth Looking hair?

I have some split ends in the top layers of my hair (I am natural blonde with an assymetrical bob), I use Aussie Down Under mousse to build volume with a round metal brush. My hair never looks smooth even after I use a hair straightener. My split ends show. Is there some type of a serum or spray that I can use to keep the split ends in tact??

Smooth Looking hair?

i had really bad slit ends too and i used dove therapy shanpoo and conditioner.

it really helps rid of slpit ends!

try it.

Smooth Looking hair?

Your flat iron is most likely the reason for your split ends. Flat irons get so much hotter than a curling iron or a hair dryer. Heat is very damaging to your hair. When you straighten it, you should use a thermal protectant spray like Matrix's Sleek Look Iron smoother.

Smooth Looking hair?

I too have dry split ends I tried Biologe shampoo and conditioner and I love it! You can also use Procalaim serum I apply it to each strand before I use the iron and it looks really silk like. You can find these products at Sally's hair supplies good luck!

Should I relax/chemically straighten my hair? Just looking for some feedback?

Ok, my hair just about hits my shoulders, and each strand isnt necessarilly super thick, but i have a LOT of hair and its really curly and frizzy when i let it air dry, but if I brush my hair, the curls just flatten out and my hair becomes a half-wavy half-curly, frizzy messy MESS. lol . I've tried straightening shampoos and products and things but blowdrying and then flat-ironing my hair takes forever. So I found out that it is possible to get your hair chemically relaxed and it sounds so amazing! But i just wanted to know if its really bad for your hair, and how much it would cost for shoulder length-hair. I've heard it lasts about six months. Just wanted some feedback :-)

Should I relax/chemically straighten my hair? Just looking for some feedback?

Reading your question I say: OHMIGOD THAT'S ME.

And I got the chemically relaxed done, and I have the same hair type as you - 'cept a bit longer. and it's been over 6 months and my hair is still straight!

But, my mom isn't letting me get it done again, she said maybe in a couple years you can get it done.

So I will be stuck straightening my hair every other night for 40 minutes again. =(

However, my cousin is a hair dresser and said it's really bad for your hair ... because imagine, your hair is staying straight for half a year with CHEMICALS, imagine how strong they are!

I was disapointed to hear this because I LOVE it, and my hair feels totally healthier! I don't even need to comb my hair after my shower, it just goes straight! It saves so much time! I'm gonna' be so sad when it is thick and poofy again. I LOVED IT. Get it done and try it out!

Should I relax/chemically straighten my hair? Just looking for some feedback?

Just dont brush your hair! It sounds horrible, but it does work! When my hair was longer, it was frizzy and horrible, then i didnt brush it.. and i moussed it when it was wet, and it looked gorgeous!

Should I relax/chemically straighten my hair? Just looking for some feedback?

chemically straightening your hair ruins it. It makes it even frizzier, and uglier. I have really curly hair and its also frizzy use garnier fructis sleek and shine leave in conditioner. It helped me-a lot.

Should I relax/chemically straighten my hair? Just looking for some feedback?

That is sooo bad for your hair, what it basically does is strip away the proteins and things like that in your hair and it will make your hair weak and unwell.

Should I relax/chemically straighten my hair? Just looking for some feedback?

my friend got her hair frizzy, poofy hair relaxed and it looks soo much better. i heard it was pretty expensive though and made her hair very dry. she gets it done about 3 times a year and it coasts the same amount every time she goes, but it does look great.

Should I relax/chemically straighten my hair? Just looking for some feedback?

its really expensive, you can't color your hair and relax it, and its really bad for your hair.

My suggestion is get the blue bottles of pureology shampoo and conditoner, a chi, and the chi silk infusion cream.

How to maintain permed hair (curly)?

How to fix dry damaged hair?

I realize this question is asked a lot but my hair is different from others I believe. First of all I haven't dyed my hair in over 3 years. I deep condition my hair once a week. I don't straighten my hair (it's naturally losely curled). I never blow dry my hair. I never brush my hair when wet and I always let it air dry. I take extremely good care of my hair but it still is very dry. Are there any suggestions? Is there any at home treatments I could try? Please let me know. Thank you. =)

How to fix dry damaged hair?

I know what you mean by your hair being different from others, Mine is too. Let me tell you what I do. First of all it is a possibility that you are washing your hair too often. If your hair doesn't get greasy after a day or so of washing, then don't wash it every day. I don't wash mine every day but when I do I use Tresemme's products for shampoo and conditioner and a leave in mosturizer. I know you said that you do a deep condition once a week and that is good but here's what I do. I get a cholesterol conditioner ( yes its very good for your hair) from Sally's Beauty Supply and I put gobs of it on my hair before I go to be,(my hair is kinda thick) , and leave it on with a shower cap over it all night. I have found that works as an excellent mosturizer. Hope it helps!

How to fix dry damaged hair?

well.... you could always go the "full Brittney"!!

How to fix dry damaged hair?

try mayonnaise. it sounds disgusting, but my friend tried it out once, nd it worked. also, try not to wash your hair so much, youre washing all the natural oils in your hair away. Maybe you can take vitamin E and protein supplement pills. I heard that type of stuff is good for your hair and nails.

How to fix dry damaged hair?

What kind of shampoo and conditioner do you use? I have curly/wavy hair too and I have never dyed it either. Changing your conditioner can make all the difference. I try to stick to the creamy ones, and Pantene is usually good at getting hair tangle-free and very smooth. I also would recommend Biolage or Nexxus Humectress/Therappe, they are normally very universally pleasing, and although you might think your hair is different, I'm sure some have had the same troubles you seem to be facing. Keep searching, you'll find the right products for your hair. Good Luck!

Maybe you should try the tips in the source with your deep conditioner.

Keeping hair silky and beautiful?

My hair is really silky and beautiful after I brush it, but after a few hours of being out and just going about everyday things it starts to look tangled. How can I keep my hair looking like it was just brushed all day long? I use good shampoo and conditioner and I brush my hair alot.

...a good quality leave in conditioner will help. It could also have something to do with sweat or static...something with a humidity protector will serve you well. There should a be a couple of products you can use. Walk into a beauty salon and tell them the problem....they will recommend a brand that will be best for your type of hair

It could also be the cut.....

Keeping hair silky and beautiful?

Add a shine serum to your routine. You just use it after you wash your hair. You can really tell the difference. I used to have the same problem as you do but then I started on my shine serum and I love it. I use Redken, you can get it at your salon. No more mess to deal with. Good Luck.

Keeping hair silky and beautiful?

brushing it a lot gives you split ends. if you use a hair creme-gloss when its wet it will be more maneagable throughout the day.

If you don't this your hair will basically become sh*t.

Go get a trim or hair cut so you get all the damaged hair CUT and start taking care of your hair better.

Just buy a good moisturizing shampoo and conditoner and buy a hot oil treatment to put once a week.

Wash it in the morning and scrunch it with a leav in condtioner, mousse and hair spray.

You can buy all of this in a drugstore*

Or straighten it in the morning INSTEAD not at night but too much straightening WILL ruin your hair and PLUS all that chlorine girl your killing your hair!!

Just wear it natural theres no need for straightening it all the time!

My wife's hair does the same thing. She went to the dermatologist and he said that some people lose more hair than others and that she was fine. I wouldn't worry about it but go see a dermatologist if it would make you feel better.

You should go to your doctor. I have hypothyroidism (low thyroid). It makes my hair fall out especially if I am not on my thyroid meds. There are many reasons your hair could fall out. I found a website that describes some of the reasons better than I could. http://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/Hair-...

Try not to worry about it too much. Stress can also cause hair loss. Your doc should be able to figure out what is going on.

Hair is falling out like crazy plz help!?

To start, do you have a good diet, eat lots of fruit and vegetable, when you wash your hair, use the cheap stuff cause less chemical in shampoo is best, you can rinse your hair with beer, vinegar. Once a month you put tomotoe juice in your hair it brings up the ph balance, what I do I use a comb and comb the juic in my wet hair. leave it on for half hour wrap in towel. use natural way for your hair. To much chemical is not good. check your natural store they will give you vitamine to help fortifie your hair,,,Royal Jellie is good

hope this helps Good luck

Wavy hair situation??

hi,i have reallly wavy and poofy hair...i usually straighten it but its kind of dried out,i use heat protectant and everything.i can never just brush my hair and go.it takes me so long to do my hair before school.i want to stop harming my hair with the straightener so much.is there any way to stop fighting the wave and perfect it?it gets frizzy over time also.what products can i use in it to make it more easier for me to style?when i wake up its all poofy but the waves are still nice.i use mousse sometimes but i was something to make my waves really stand out.any suggestions?

thanks everyone!!!!

Wavy hair situation??

there's anti frizz serum

and moisturizing shampoos/conditioners

i have the same problem and i use pantene's fortifier. it's basically like a hair mask once a week and it moisturizes your hair.

if not, you can try scrunching hair products and run some through your hair to make your waves stand out. i know a lot of brands have scrunching mousse and other sprays you can try.

or if you just want your hair straightened for a few months, you can get a japanese hair straightening perm [also known as thermal reconditioning]

Wavy hair situation??

Hmm. Your waves to stand out. Well you can get the frizz out for a whole year if you don't mind spending $100-200 dollars getting it permanetly straightened. After that it wouldn't frizz and yo ucan style any way you want.

Wavy hair situation??

Use antifrizz serum, just rub a bit between your palms and rub it over your hair.

It's a miracle product.

Also, try showering before bed or even in the afternoon, if you have time to let it air dry and build up a bit of oil (which isn't gross, it's good for you) then it will be less damaged and frizzy.

Also, you can try showering every other day, as recommended by many stylists that I've talked to. It keeps your hair less dried out.

Wavy hair situation??

hey there, i have the same problem, well if u want pin straight hair use herbal essence pin straight moose, or sunsilk straighten up serum, as for your waves use john freida curl enhancing shamoo/conditioner and spray or just put some moose in your damp hair the night before and put it in braids, hope it helped :)

Wavy hair situation??

There's alot of straightening gels and products that work really well. I would suggest anything by Garnier.

Wavy hair situation??

oay we are in the same boat , i am puertorican and black so it's a pretty curly/wavy and a whole lot of frizzy, u have to train ur hair, wash and condition..but to keep ur hair from dryin out use natural things

Excessive hair fall after giving birth?

Everytime I brush my hair, I can see a lot of hair in my brush, especially after I take a bath. I have noticed that my hair become thinner. Does anybody here knows what kind of supplement i should take to prevent hair loss. If this is normal to all women who give birth, how long does it last before going back to normal? I'm worried because I dont like to cut my hair^^! Please help an thanks in advance.

Excessive hair fall after giving birth?

From what i've seen this isn't uncommon. Considering its hormonal changes that probably cause this there mightn't be much you can do. Eating protein rich foods might help, as well as using a hair strengthening shampoo and conditioner, and avoiding dying your hair.

Rest assured, it will grow back. There was a lady who used to come into the hair salon i work at who had this issue. Her hair thinned out quite alot, but returned to normal after afew months after she'd given birth.

If your very concerned, don't hesitate to consult your doctor.

Excessive hair fall after giving birth?

THE MEDICINE THAT YOU ARE TAKING IS MAKING THAT HAPPENED

Excessive hair fall after giving birth?

Yes, this is normal and is caused be hormonal changes. You may have had more hair fullness develop during pregnancy also.

Can someone help/explain to me with what's happening to my hair?

In the top back part of my head my hair and head get sticky and the scalp turns green. I wash my hair a lot while I'm in the shower and rinse it out a lot too. When I brush my hair when I'm conditioning or right after getting out sorta-big chunks of hair come out and it gets sticky again right as its drying/when its dry. Can someone explain to me what is happening and tell me how to stop it from happening?

Can someone help/explain to me with what's happening to my hair?

If your hair is dyed and you swim often, that could be part of it. But the scalp shouldn't be green or sticky. It sounds kinda like a fungus. If you're losing chunks of hair when you brush, see a doctor NOW.

Can someone help/explain to me with what's happening to my hair?

if your scalp is green i suggest you go to a docter and hair specialist....they would know exactly what to do hun

Can someone help/explain to me with what's happening to my hair?

Eek, I've never heard of that before. It sounds like a serious issue. I would advise getting to your doctor as soon as you can and getting it checked out.

Can someone help/explain to me with what's happening to my hair?

oh no i would call my doctor right away you might be allergic to your shampoo or something

Can someone help/explain to me with what's happening to my hair?

If your hair is dyed blonde, then the green is explainable because of the chlorine in the water. I don't understand why it would be sticky, not unless you have style buildup. You need to try a clarifying shampoo, followed by a deep conditoner with protein and ceramacide which makes the hair stronger. As far as the hair falling out, thats called breakage, and you need to get a hair treatment ASAP! Not only could this be breakage, but it could also be a thyroid problem! Try a pure protein pack, you can find these fairly affordable at Sally's Beauty Store. Def visit your doctor because I'm a nurse and this sounds out of the ordinary! After a doctors visit, I would def seek help in a salon and to a Sally's Beauty Supply Store!

Take good care of your hair! It will add to your charm - who can resist a person with lovely, silky hair? So do try out the tips! Hope these little tips have been useful! :)

Tips To Stop Hair Loss %26amp; Keep Healthy Hair Here are some hair care tips that you can use to help stop hair loss and keep your existing hair healthy and looking great. Please don't take these tips lightly. They are very important . The only thing they require is your time and commitment.

- Massage your scalp with your fingertips (not your nails) daily to stimulate and promote circulation to your scalp and reduce excess fallout. Invert your head while you shampoo %26amp; massage your scalp. This helps promote blood circulation to the head.

- Essential oils %26amp; tea . To stimulate scalp circulation, massage the scalp with rosemary essential oil or rinse hair with tea made from sage.

- Comb or brush your hair and scalp gently in the morning and at night. This helps break up hardened oils (sebum) that are clogging your hair follicles. Doing this alone has produced new hair growth. Do not over do combing or brushing.

- keep a distance from dryer's heat. When using blow dryers, always keep the heat a good distance from your scalp and hair. Avoid heating the scalp and hair excessively. Excessive heat will increase hair loss, and excess fallout.

- Avoid getting hair creams, lotions, styling gels and sprays directly on the scalp as they will clog your hair follicles. Use a light hold spray if you must.

- After swimming in a pool, shampoo your hair as soon as possible to remove any chlorine residue. Chlorine is extremely damaging to the hair and scalp.

- Avoid over-exposing your hair and scalp to the wind and sun. Good hair care over a long period really makes a difference!

- Avoid tight hats and caps as they contribute to poor circulation, depriving the hair of proper nutrition and stunting new hair growth. The sweat, dirt and grime around the rim inhibit follicle health and contribute to build-up.

- Always consult your health care provider for extreme causes of excess fallout and thinning. A medical condition or medication could be causing hair loss side-effects.

- Strive for balance and harmony in both your personal and professional lifestyle. High stress factors can cause your body to react by fluctuating hormone levels. This in turn causes excessive oil secretion (sebum) which results in hair loss.

- Pregnancy, nursing, menopause, and even birth control medication can cause constant changing factors on your nutritional needs and hormonal levels which contribute to hair loss and excess fallout.

- Avoid "crash and fad" diets. Proper nutritious meals along with vitamin and mineral supplements are a key factor for healthy hair and skin.

- Good hair care starts with awareness. These hair care tips, if followed consistently, will reduce excess fallout, hair loss, and promote new hair growth.

- Reduce hair loss effects by increasing your intake of vitamin C found in fresh fruits and vegetables, particularly citrus fruit and juices, parsley, broccoli, green peppers and black currants. Take a vitamin B complex everyday or brewers yeast. Increase your intake of protein found in meat, fish, liver, wheat germ, dried cooked beans and peas, tofu, cheese, milk and eggs.

- Take dietary supplements such as Vitamin B6, zinc %26amp; saw palmetto. Supplements are useful when you can't get enough from natural food sources.

- The Chinese believe that hair is nourished by the blood, and therefore influenced by the kidney %26amp; liver. Treatment is aimed at these organs using fleece flower root, wolfberry fruit or mulberry fruit.

- Eliminate stress or else it can be disastrous to your precious hair!

- Get enough sleep. Sleeping well is essential for the health of your hair as well as for the rest of your body.

There are ways you can help stop the grease from appearing but you have to work at it.

Do not wash everyday. The cleaner your hair is the more it can seep into your glands and harder it is to get rid of. When you do wash make sure you are washing with a cleaning shampoo and scrubbing the build up off. Take in mind that you also have to have a ph-balanced mild shampoo and lite scrubbing is recommended. Try to avoid conditioner at the roots, apply in the middle or on the ends.

Try to avoid oil in your daily food intake. And do eat more vegetables. You could visit your doctor but only after you check and consider your diet, drugs, alcohol, and your fatty food intake. Let's face it we see what McDonalds can do to your heart in a month, can you image your hair. You would be dripping everywhere.

Maybe it's time to change your shampoo. Ask your stylist what she or he would recommend. Avoid using shine products at all costs. Keep away from two-in-one shampoos and conditioners and any frizz serums.

To fix at the moment, rub a little Talcum Powder on your dried hair at the roots. Just make sure you wash it out. I wish they would event that magic product, but this will help until they do.

Here are 10 tips for to keep your hair strong, smooth, shiny and beautiful!

1. Keep your diet balanced, and eat protein and calcium rich foods. Stay away from junk foods! This is essential for healthy hair.

2. Foods and supplements to nourish your hair:

* Beans

* Yogurt

* Almonds

* Vitamin B

* Fish

* And of course, the magic potion for beauty - WATER

3. Before washing your hair, comb it well to make sure all knots has been loosened from your hair.

4. Before applying shampoo, use warm water (35 to 38 degrees Celsius) to run through your hair to rinse and wet it thoroughly.

5. When applying shampoo or conditioner, don't use your fingernails to scrape through your hair. Instead, use your palm and fingertips to massage your scalp and hair gently, in circular motions. This will help the circulation and also help to keep your hair shiny and smooth.

6. After rinsing away all the shampoo, run water over your hair for at least another half a minute (3 minutes is best) to ensure there are no remains of shampoo remaining in your hair, since this will cause a great deal of damage to your scalp.

7. When applying hair treatment products, do so just after you have washed your hair, so that your hair can absorb all the good stuff while it is half wet. This will be the best time for it to absorb nourishment.

8. NEVER go to bed with your hair wet! Hair that is half wet is most easily broken, and if you sleep during this time, your hair will be rubbing against each other, damaging your hair in the most terrible way.

9. Too much pressure may lead to hair loss! Relax... try some good relaxation methods such as soaking in a nice scented bath, listening to music, and eating healthy comfort foods such as strawberries and grapes.

10. Perming and coloring seriously damages your hair. Avoid it as much as possible. Also, when using hair setting products such as gel or putty, use as little as possible, because they hurt your scalp and hair. Wash them out thoroughly afterwards with a shampoo specially created for removing styling products.

Calling all women who wear hair extentions or weaves: your help is urgently needed?

I recently (as in two weeks ago) got a wavy weave, using human hair, premium now, brand magic wave hair. However with daily brushing, the hair as lost the majority of it wave with one side of my hair being pratcially straight, which sucks as my attraction the hair was the waves.

1)So my question is it possibe for me to get the waves to the form they once WERE, i.e deep waves, and how do I do this??

2)How is it best to maintain wavy weave, please could I have step by step instructions lol

thanks ladies xxx

p.s btw taking it out is NOT an option as I only put in in recently and the hair and hair stylist were expensive.

Also is there any other way of encouraging the waves to return WITHOUT WASHING THE HAIR??, because its my first weave and im not very confident in washing it yet

Calling all women who wear hair extentions or weaves: your help is urgently needed?

what was the question again?

I NEVER BELIEVE IN THOSE

I HOPE YOU DIDN'T SPEND TOO MUCH MONEY ON IT

Calling all women who wear hair extentions or weaves: your help is urgently needed?

Take em out, they look dreadful. You shed hair everywhere and you can see where it is added to the natural hair. Also they smell disgusting, especially if the person who is wearing em smokes.

Go and get em done by a professional, you can tell the difference.

Calling all women who wear hair extentions or weaves: your help is urgently needed?

Hi girlfriend,

I would go back to the salon you got your hair done, explain what you have done, and i am sure they will put it right for you, if they are a reputable salon. Did you ask before you left the salon how to maintain the weave. Their are too many salons out there that just want the money and forget to tell the clients how to maintain the new hair style.

Calling all women who wear hair extentions or weaves: your help is urgently needed?

go back to the shop and seek advice.

Calling all women who wear hair extentions or weaves: your help is urgently needed?

The waves do not stay in the weave hair or in the individual hair extensions regardless of the price.

The only hair that will stay curly is naturally curly hair and you will have to pay and out and out fortune for that. This, most of us cannot afford.

Hair Straitning?

Hey is it true if you brush your hair for half an hour or so your hair goes dead straight or do you need a special serum to put on before you brush it? Thanks! xx

Hair Straitning?

*I don't really think brushing your hair makes it straighter persay...although it can cause some major split ends and damage to an extent. If you do it so much.*

.Try:

"Ceramic Tools Hair Straightening Brush."

OR.......

*Yeah it sucks and it takes time.....go to a salon and buy a hair straightener that they sell. Those work wonders.

.%26gt;%26gt;NOTE: When using an expensive salon straightner, it's always wise to use salon hair care products as well...to keep your hair straight/shiney/healthy.

**You can ask a stylist to tell you which products are right for your hair as well, just to ensure you get what you pay for and you're happy.

.....it's all about the products you use, and how you use them.

.Good luck!

Hair Straitning?

no idea. but i do brush my hair sometimes and it goes curly to straightER

Hair Straitning?

dont know, dont care but thought id round the day off on 300 points. Thanks

Hair Straitning?

it's a lot quicker just to use hair straightners

Hair Straitning?

Not true. Depends on hair type. I suggest you go see a good hair dresser who can point you in the right direction!

Hair Straitning?

that isnt true if you wanted to do that then you would need some product or a hair straightner works good to. you can get a really good one at walmart for like 13 dollars. it has turbo and everyting.

Hair Straitning?

all I think about when I read this is Marcia Brady...I dont think its true, unless you have an ample amount of the right Serum and flattening product or a good flattener this wont work.

if your hair is naturally on the straight side there is a slight chance but anyone with wavy hair..dont count on it.

Hair Straitning?

If you brush your hair while you're blow drying it, it does go straight, but sometimes it gets really frizzy, thats what the serums are for, so it doesn't get frizzy

Hair Straitning?

you probably need to use some product (if your hair is wavy or curly) to get it straight in addition to brushing...or else just blow dry it straight or use a straightener

Hair Straitning?

hasnt worked for me

Hair Straitning?

i dont think you can brush your hair for thirty minutes and get it to go straight

Hair Straitning?

just buy a flat iron if u want ur hair straight, dont keep brushin it cuz its gonna take ur hair hair out. If u have real thick hair dont buy cheap flat irons

Hair Straitning?

my hair is naturaly curly! i mean really curly! when i was little i would sit and brush one spot of my hair for a long time. now that piece of hair has looser curls so yes in a way brushing does straiten your hair but not rite away!

Hair Straitning?

no

Hair Straitning?

I would imagine you would need a serum to put on it, but I wouldn't recommend it doing it - brushing your hair too much actually causes more harm than good! You are better off buying some straighteners and a good heat protector for your hair - I suggest Redken smooth down heat glide - it's a little bit pricey, but it's awesome and it lasts a long time!

Hair Straitning?

I find that highly unlikely. You will open yourself to a higher likelihood of split ends because you inevitably rip out or snap some hair brushing for that long.

Hair Straitning?

Im not sure this is true, i, myself, have naturally wavy hair.

when you brush your hair it will go straighter because your brushing through the waves curles or whatever, but i doubt it will STAY straight, especially if you have hair like mine.

besides would you really want to brush your hair for an hour and a half!?

if you want straight hair i recommend GHDS i have had mine nearly two years now and they keep my hair really straight.

they are quite expensive but worth every penny.

using serums and special shampoos %26amp; conditioners can also help you hair stay straight!

Hair Straitning?

if you have wavy hair or naturaly straight hair with a few cinks (like mine), brushing it for a half hour will circulate the oils and make it straight.

if you have curly hair, the home remedy to make it straight would be

to : 1.brush your hair out and then put your hair in a high ponytail

2. wrap one of those long first aid bandages that people use for sprained ankles around your head, starting at your hairline and ending at the tip of your ponytail.

3. sleep in it.

Hair Straitning?

i highly doubt that will happen. its much easier to use straightening shampoo and conditioner and blow dry it with flat iron spray and a flat brush. or just flat iron it, that would be the easiest.

Hair Straitning?

Um not exactly true....my hair is fine so if I did that it would be staticy! YiKeS

Hair Straitning?

To be honest with you, it would take u just as long to straighten it with straighteners.. there really is no point in trying to get it straight by just brushing it.. i use ghds and ther amazing! :) but u can get cheaper ones which are just as good... but don't forget to put protection spray on ur hair before hand.. i use bed head extra extra straight and its really good! good luck with your hair! x x louise x x

Hair Straitning?

I don't know but you should use a heat protecter spray and that should help the dryness of your hair!!! Good luck

Hair Straitning?

Your hair will never get dead straight from just combing it your just damaging your hair. No matter what straightener you use it will kill your hair. Use a shampoo and conditioner that protects your hair from the heat and use some styling products that help get your hair straight so you spend less time straightening it which means less damage to your hair. Always use a straightener with ceramic plates.

Hair Straitning?

mine doesnt lol

Hair Straitning?

give it a try, its better than straightening i know how you feel with the slit ends.

Volumed hair in the morning .?

-after i take a shower i blowdry it with the heat with my hair upside down [with a roundbrush] then i flip it over brushign all my bangs down %26amp; using the round brush lift my hair up towards the sky %26amp; direct the heat towards the roots . it get all nice and poofy . i usually straighten my hair right after i finish blowdrying because its a hassle to do it in the morning . problem is ; in the morning when i wake up its poofy but after i straighten it its get a little bit flat . -what should i do to maintain its volume %26amp; keep it straight because rain is coming pretty soon . what products can i apply or spray to my hair [i like garnier fructis] to give it volume %26amp; hold it in place . something i can use when my hairs dry . thanks a million .

Volumed hair in the morning .?

hairspray your roots. life a section of your top layer up -- and spray near your roots. that's what i do %26amp; i have amazing volume all day long.

...or you could always tease it a little ;)

Guy Hair Help?

i am a male who has thick very wavy/curly hair. i dont like straighteners, cuz they burn hair. when i get out of the shower, i brush my hair when it's wet. when it dries, it gets poofy and curly and tight, like an afro. i just wear a hat to school and take it off after a few hours of it being dry and it looks like skater hair. how can i make it flat and wavy without the poofiness and tight afro-type look?

Guy Hair Help?

Erm, well first off- dont brush your hair when you get out of the shower- it encourages the curl and POOF factor.

You might want to try a mild relaxer, or even a leave-in conditioner, just mix it with a little water and spray on your hair. Try to avoid a brush as much as possible, just finger-comb.

Guy Hair Help?

sunsilk straighten up shampoo and leave in straightener cream stuff (its in a purple bottle) you can buy it at target. it works great. and don't brush it just run ur hands through it. and pat it dry with a towel.

Guy Hair Help?

use oil for your hair... the frizz free kind of oil or go to a salon and ask a lady that works there, how you can take away the frizz.

Guy Hair Help?

After brushing it, put a good amount of moisturizer in your hair. Brush your hair again. Blow dry it and it'll give the look you want. Hope that helped!!

Guy Hair Help?

yeah don't brush your hair when it's wet that actually causes it to become poofy. use a leave in conditioner to weigh down your hair so it won't be so poofy or buy hair serum such as Frizz Ease by John Frieda

Hair loss in pregnancy?

I am 20 weeks pregnant and in all my baby books it says that your hair stops falling out by this point and looks thicker and shinier. Unfortunately someone forgot to tell my body this and I am shedding lots of hair from my head. Not large clumps, but i notice it on my clothes and in the washbasin when I brush my hair in the morning. I have had a really itchy head since week 1 but have tested negative for choleostasis.

My hair is quite short and has been cut recently so I don't think it is breaking for this reason.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Hair loss in pregnancy?

lol i sympathise with you i lost a lot of my hair with my first pregnancy and that was 14 years ago. And exactly the same as you i was very healthy eating and exercising. But at the end of it all i had a healthy baby boy who is nearly 14. Also my hair was cut short and it does scare you but please don't worry as it is all to do with the hormones etc Growing a baby is very hard work for your body. I am now 35 weeks pregnant with my 4th baby and look and feel very healthy with No hair loss this time or with my 2nd or 3rd baby i didn't loose any more.

So good luck and best of wishes with the rest of your pregnancy take care xx

Some people are very cheeky on here with there answers.

Hair loss in pregnancy?

My hair loss came after the babies were born. Although it all grew back very quickly. Check with your midwife.

Hair loss in pregnancy?

i had that and the midwife said its all the hormones but got better after the baby was born

Hair loss in pregnancy?

Take my advise those books don't count for everyone! I also lost a lot of hair whilst pregnant, don't worry about it. My hair also went greasy for a few weeks. Drove me made! Then towards birth it all settled down again. It's just your hormones, they affect people in different ways.

Congrats on the pregnancy, a winter birth. Lucky you! My daughter was born 6th july 1997, and the weather was soooooo hot. We had a heat wave that year anyone remember it here in the uk. Started around the end of march beginning of april when right through till end of September. My poor swollen feet. ;)

Hope your son/daughter has it all, health/happiness and a warm gentle heart.

Hair loss in pregnancy?

I read that too...and my hair did the same thing as yours is. NOT FAIR! My nails are growing nicely though! :) Be sure to take your prenatal vitamins and eat well. Other than that, all you can really do is wait it out!

Hair loss in pregnancy?

Your hormones make your body do lots of crazy things during pregnancy. As long as you are taking your prenatals religiously, eating plenty of fruits and veggies, avoiding drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes, there should be no need for concern. Most people experience the thicker, shinier hair because of the increase in calcium and folic acid in their diets. If you are someone who regularly balances her diet, you wouldn't see the effect quite as dramatically.

Hair Problems!!!!!?

the top of my hair is wavy/straight

the inside layer is REALLY curly

i cant brush my hair that much or it will fizz after 2 sec.

i straightin it every day

but i hate to ruin my hair

i cant get it layered or it will curl all funky

or side bangs cuz it would curl too

what hair styles or ideas could i do w/ my insane mess?

Hair Problems!!!!!?

Go to a hair specialist (not supercuts!!) they will know exactly what to do.

Hair Problems!!!!!?

with that kind of hair i have no idea sorry

Hair Problems!!!!!?

The first thing you have to do is invest in a good condition, and some kind of styling gloss. These products will help your hair be better to manage. I have really curly hair so I tend to straighten it chemically to handle all of my curls. I still have curls when my hair is wet, but I blow it out straight most days. But without conditioner and styling gloss my hair is a mess. If you don't want to chemically treat your hair invest in the conditioner and styling gloss and if you cut your hair make sure the cut is blunt. Best wishes

Growing Hair?

my hair is up to my neck and its not growing. well it is, but its growing so slow. i want to grow it faster. so if i brush my hair 100 times everyday will it grow? how long will it grow? how fast will it grow? i really miss my long hair, but i wanted to see what i looked like with short hair which is the reason i cut it, and i look ok, but i look better with longer hair. my grade 8 graduation is coming up in less than 2 months and i want to have long hair, without getting extensions. please help!

Growing Hair?

Yeah, you're going to need extensions. I doubt you can grow your hair really long in 2 months.

Either that, or think of something really nice to do to your hair for your graduation.

Growing Hair?

get it trimmed. when you trim your hair it makes it grow faster.

Growing Hair?

try a shampoo and conditioner that specializes in lengthening hair. i suggest GARNIER FRUCTIS: length and strength. Its not a miracle worker, your not going to have super long hair overnight. But, it will be hopefully a little past your shoulders. I know how you feel, my 8 grade graduation is coming up too. If my advice doesn't work, then i don't know what else to say.

Wavy hair weave dilemma !! please help?

Wash your hair and put a light conditioner on it, towel dry then using a bobble tie the hair up from the bottom of the hair upwards into a kind of bun. allow to dry naturally and leave it in as long as you can, when its still damp apply a small amount of moose to the bun, leave a while longer then shake your hair loose. you can finish off the look by applying a touch of serum to the ends to gloss it over !! wavy hair!! :O)

Wavy hair weave dilemma !! please help?

have you tried talking to your hairdresser?

Wavy hair weave dilemma !! please help?

Okay, you should have been given these tips at the salon. If you had it done at home you should have read the instructions, as every hair care is different.

Anyway, Wash the weave- make sure not to be aggressive with it. apply a treatment onto it(I love botanicals range for that). and leave on for 10-15 minutes. wash out and leane to dry naturally, making sure to COMB it out slowly, and use a tiny amount of grease/oil whatever you use. this should help it to go back to its original style. alternatively, you could get a new one put in...

Wavy hair weave dilemma !! please help?

You can style it the same as human hair.

Wavy hair weave dilemma !! please help?

Unweave it.

Wavy hair weave dilemma !! please help?

use mousse and curling tongs

Speed up Hair growth?

Hey, basicly I just got a bad hair cut and I'm wondering if there's any quick way to speed up my hair growth. I've been showering 2-3 times a day with nexxus bontan oil and with a good quality conditoner too whitch supposivley promotes hair growth and I've also been taking 2 one-a-day vitamins and 2 niacin pills a day as well. I also have been brushing my hair a cupple hundred times a day and have been massaging my hair a cupple times a day for 15 minutes each. And of course, I've been eating and exercising regulary. Is there anything else I can do to help with my hair? or is there anything I should change from what I'm already doing? I heard taking knox for nails helps...anyone have any results with that? reply ASAP

peace

Honestly...I would focus less on your hair and more on your spelling.

Hair is hair...

This will sound completely crazy, but I heard it from a male friend. He said that prenatal vitamins help with hair and nail growth. I don't know that you can get them, and who knows if it even works. Vitamin E also should help.

Need Hair Treatment suggestions for hairloss?

I'm asian and thin hair has been kind of running in my family as a trait. I am 15 and have been experiencing from what I think would be more than the normal hairloss. It's happened since I was 14 if I can recall correctly. When I was 14 my hair was pure black, not dyed or anything and it was elbow length. A lot of strands fell off, but I didn't know it was abnormal until my friend brushed her hair roughly and like, 1 strand fell off.

I have colored my hair about three times in the past year so far, but it has not increased my hairloss. I've done some browsing on the enternet %26amp; they say Aphrogee is recomended. I went to Sally's Beauty Salon but there was a large selection of types of shampoo and conditioner for hair treatment %26amp; I don't know which to choose.

So, does anyone know which Aphrogee shampoo [or others] I should use that would work effectively? And if so, what is the time period that I should be noticing less hairloss? Or is there anything else I can do?

Thx in advance

Need Hair Treatment suggestions for hairloss?

apply Olive oil on your scalp as it has Vitamin E and the required proteins which would help hair growth

Need Hair Treatment suggestions for hairloss?

Everyone's hair is different. I shed a lot too. I would say to stop dying your hair first of all. And second of all, what kind of daily ritual do you have with doing your hair? If you blow dry it and then straighten it, that doesn't help either. Give your hair some breathing room. Condition it everyday, and wash your hair with shampoo like 3 times a week the aphrogee shampoo. And no more loading it up with products. Those are chemicals. If your family has bad luck with hair, then your not helping it any.
