How can I curl my hair without using curlers?

When I usually wash my hair, I don't bother straightening it or curling it before I go to bed, So I just leave it natural. But when I wake up in the morning, and brush my hair its in such a state but im in such a rush I don't have time to use curler/straightener on my hair.

So I was wondering if anyone had any ideas to curl hair [since it would be impossible straightening hair without a straightner] quickly? Not using a curler?

I have tryed before now plaiting my hair into little braids and sleeping in them but when I took them out in the morning, the curls were not what I wanted at all and my hair was huge! lol

You should use what grannies wear before they go to bed, the original curlers, not the heated ones. You should use the large sized ones for the curls you're trying to achieve, for example;

When i want curls i towel dry my hair and then split my hair in half down the centre and make two *french* plaits.

Usual plaits will just curl the bottom and its all symmetrical and unnatural looking.

French plaits will curl right from the top and because they will be quite irregular, they'll give a natural looking curl.

Thats what i do anyway, then sleep on them until dry and i'm always amazed how well it turns out :)

The best way to curl your hair is to put it up in rags cut long strip of a old towel and then hold one end on your head and wrap the rag around lots of small pony tails until the hair is covered then tie the to ends together sleep on it, the best thing about it,is you need a friend to do it over a bottle of wine and music or good movie have fun.
