One time, I was watching the Brady Bunch and the older girl (forget her name...I didn't watch it much...it could have even been the movie) would comb her hair 100 times. I have very dry hair. Do you think brushing my hair this many times would drag the little bit of oil on the hair around my scalp to the ends of my hair? Is it bad to brush your hair this much? I have to wash my hair every day or I can't function. Thanks!
Dry hair question.?
Don't brush your hair that much! Use a wide tooth comb when your hair is wet and a soft paddle brush when your hair is dry but just brush it enough to detangle. Brushing that much will cause breakage and frizziness. Get some shine serum and put it only on your ends.
Dry hair question.?
It's bad to brush your hair that much because it will cause the end to break even more than they already are.
And the oldest Brady girl was named Marcia.
Dry hair question.?
100 brush strokes will not do anything except cause breakage.Use Infusium 23 products--they are great for dry hair.Esp. the spray-on,leave in conditioner.

Dry hair question.?
it was marsha i think...and it was 1,000 times. brushing your hair can spread the oils, but you're better off using deep-conditioning products or extra moisture creams etc. on your wet hair. brushing it that much in excess will only make hair staticy and it will have manyyy split ends.
Dry hair question.?
Brush enought to get it to untangle, but the best thing to do is comb it through when you get out of the shower, that way you won't have to brush so much, and condition it
Dry hair question.?
it isnt good to brush your hair that much...many people say it makes your hair soft and shiny...really it makes the ends split and sometimes makes it MORE dry...i would suggest not trying it
Dry hair question.?
Yes, its very bad to brush your hair that many times. The idea of brushing the hair 100 times a day to stimulate the scalp circulation is a fantasy. In fact, if you brush your hair too much, you may end up injuring and losing hair.
This myth stems from the thought that hair loss was due to poor circulation and that brushing or massaging would improve blood flow and nutrition to the follicles. The truth is, bald or not, there鈥檚 no major difference in scalp circulation.
Dry hair question.?
Not exactly true. I am a cosmetologist. Brushing the hair removes dirt and oil buildup as well as adding luster to the hair. So go ahead...brush away! You should also try a little olive oil on your hair and scalp. Shampoo and condition (u can even add the olive oil to your shampoo), style as usual.

Dry hair question.?
You risk breakage, dry hair is notorious for breakage. You'd be better off using a little frizz cream that has a few good non oily moisturizers in them. When you wash your hair make sure to condition it afterward and every two and a half weeks use either a hot oil treatment or a deep conditioning mask.
