Hair problem, any help?

I am thirteen and have a hair dilema. I am a brunette and my hair has never been dyed and I wash it daily. Anyway, when I brush my hair about 10-15 minutes later, it clumbs back together and looks stringy. I let my hair air dry after showers, could this be a part of this issue? I also have some split ends.

get a trim!

your hair will have more body if you let it air dry without brushing it, just let it dry tangled, then put about a quarter sized drop of conditioner in your hand, rub it throughout your hair, but NOT on your scalp, turn your head upside down and use a comb %26amp; hair drier on the lowest setting to comb all of the tangles out

easy, cheap %26amp; no more stringy hair!

use a new conditioner and comb your hair instead of brushing it.

I think you should talk to your mom about that.

you need a better conditioner. also it is good not to use a blow dryer. Blow dryers damage hair

Try having some layers cut into your hair. It will look fuller and healthier.

Allow your hair to dry naturally and never brush it while it is wet. Use a comb instead until it dries completely and then brush it out. You'll find that it will make a difference over time. Good luck to you.

It sounds like you may be leaving too much product (including shampoo or conditioners) in your hair. Try rinsing longer so that all the product is removed. It tends to weigh down hair and make it look greasy.

Find a wide tooth comb. Get the split ends cut-off. You will feel better. Find a leave in conditioner. I like the Sun Silk collection in the pink containers. The 24/7 condtioner can be used as a leave-in condtioner. Dab a bit in, let air dry. Then use wide tooth comb.

Brushes can be harsh! Throw it away!

If you have split ends, first of all you need a trim. Don't shampoo every day. Your hair is probably too dry. Wash it two or three times a week, and then comb conditioner through your wet hair and rinse. Don't comb or brush it again until it's dry, unless you just go over it with a very wide toothed comb so it doesn't pull. Every week or two, use Alberto v05 Hot Oil Treatment. If it still looks stringy, talk to a hairdresser about what hairstyle would make it look thicker.

I wash my comb and brush about once a week. Your brush may be holding some old hairs and old oils (that you can't even see). The old oils may be what is clumping your hair together. You also might want to try a new oily hair shampoo and conditioner.
