Poofy hair help?

i have blonde naturally curly hair that is about 16 inches long

i never straighten it or use a curling iron or have gotten a perm

every time i brush it, it triples in size

now i got it layered

and i brush it with a wide tooth comb

so it only doubles in size

but i still want to be able to brush my hair without it poofing at all!

how can i make this happen?

Poofy hair help?

I would suggest only combing your hair when you get out of the shower with a pick. If you want to keep the hold and the curls, just put some gel in your hair and let it air dry. If you want to go for a softer curl, put moose in your hair when it's wet and blow dry it while scrunching. You can find an anti-frizz serum almost anywhere. That would be good to apply, too. Especially to your roots.

use good straightening irons or a relaxer :-)

Buy Frizz-Ease from CVS or Walgreens (or anywhere that sells shampoo/conditioner). Use hairspray on humid days.

I have naturally curly hair as well, and I never brush it when it's dry. I usually comb or brush when its wet and I love the product "Sexy Curly Hair" It's a spray foam that has sea water in it to separate curls, then I scrunch it with my hands and blow-dry with a diffuser.....no poof...just curls.
