How do I stop year round hair breakage?

My hair is always shedding. No matter what I do or use in my hair there is always a ton of hair on my brush when I brush it. I also get a lot of split ends! Help!

Take vitamins, eat healthy, use good conditioners often, and try to avoid using brushes - I know it is faster, but brushes pull out hair more than combs. If you brush softer bristles and brushing slower helps fragile hair, along with specialized shampoo/conditioner.

Vitamins are good with many things, including strengthening hair and growth, but ask your doctor before you start taking any.

You are what you eat, and if you eat good it comes out in your hair!

try a shampoo for really damaged hair

make sure that your brush isn't damaged in any way, if it's an old brush discard it, get an ouchless brush (by goody, you can buy it at walmart and it's suppose to be good for your hair) damaged brushes can cause breakage and split ends

and make sure to hydrate your hair as much as you can, and not use heat tools constantly. use a leave-in conditioner and use a protective spray or gel when you use heat tools on your hair
