Relaxer for 8 year old (black hair) ??

The only reason to consider it is she has VERY sensitive scalp. When her hair is brushed she cries out in pain. Been that way forever. Thick hair. We heard she could end up with serious damage. Tried almost every hair product. HELP!

Too young for a relaxer, that is a lot of harsh chemicals for an 8 year old with hair damage already. Ask around hair salons or you can just buy natural hair oil products (olive oil, coconut oil, etc.) for hair. You can massage it in her scalp. Dont wash her hair too often, natural oils from your head helps the scalp as well. Goodluck

Have You Tried "Just For Me" Relaxer System? If So, Try "Easy Straight庐" (Found In Drugstores) I Know It Looks Like It's For White People But, It Should Work. And It's Very Gentle.

shes too young for a relaxer. take her to a black salon and let them press it and show u how to oil her scalp. also ur probably not combing her hair out properly, u have to comb it out in sections starting at the ends and working ur way up to the scalp, hold the hair firmly in ur hand so ur not pulling on her scalp. even if u do all this she still may cry, its normal. but a relaxer could burn her hair and her scalp, and make it to where it wont grown. keep her hair in braids in between combings and washings so it doesnt get matted. If yyou do decide to relax it, please dont do it yourself get it done professionally, relaxers are no small deal
